Lovely!!! What temperature does one have to heat the piece to in order for it to bond? I don't have a little kiln like the one you used. Would a mug warmer work? Thanks!

Hi Yvonne, the temperature needed for the gold foil to bond is between 750°F and 850°F. We would not recommend using a mug warmer. Hope this helps!

@@cooltoolsvideosI have a paragon kiln, can I use it?
@cooltoolsvideos3 ай бұрын
@@Robindalmiras This can technically be done, but we don't recommend it as the piece needs to be gilded and this is difficult and dangerous to do inside of a standard kiln.

It would be nice if the Ultralite mini kiln were also available in France or Germany (240 volts).

Beautiful! Hall do you hallmark it? Thanks

Hi! Pam says, .999 fine silver as the overlay of gold is thin. It doesn't affect the hallmark anymore than adding gemstones or enamel.

Do you have to use an agate burnisher or can you use a metal burnisher?
@cooltoolsvideos3 ай бұрын
A metal burnisher is not recommended. It should be an agate burnisher.
