After you have that mirror finish on bronze how can you seal it in?

Hello, you can seal it with Renaissance Wax, ProtectaClear, or even powder coating. Hope this helps!

For the bronze could you Pickel it in vinegar first to remove the firing residue? Like a penny?

I know for regular bronze metal you can definitely use a very warm vinegar and table salt… You shouldn’t be getting a fire residue using the bronze clay metal.. Now I could be wrong but I haven’t used Bronze clay metal… but I am a professional Silversmith Jewelry Designer and Instructor for almost 20 years. Oh if you’re using just regular bronze metal you can definitely use a pickle to get rid of the fire scale.. but if you’re using vinegar and salt it needs to be hot… Do not cross contaminate your silver material with Bronze, copper or brass. Make sure you have two different pickling stations. But if you’re doing all natural like I said the hotter the better to remove the fire scale….
