I was buying random records from the African and Caribbean sections of my local thrift store, just going by the covers I liked. This was one of them. Lucky purchase! So, I probably discovered Tambu thanks only to the moustache and shirt he is wearing :)

It's a shame! The rest of the world will never get to see it! Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

This Party Is It 1988 Road March Christopher "Tambu" Herbert The night was cool, I moving with iron Around town we looking for action Was hunting for fete with heavy sway, All jammers feeling good so we stay Feeling to groove, the girl in a quiet mood But she incited me to behave rude She find I too reserved so she pull away Left me and run on top the stage, and start to sing for the DJ Play, play, play Mr. DJ This Party is It Gimme some jam to break away This Party Is It She jump & prance and fall down on the ground This Party Is It Making the whole crowd sing along, singing Music (x3) Everyone high on the music She highjack the fete & making it a concept Singing she own thing and wouldn't stop Shouting & wining down like she gone insane- all the music gone to she brain Jamming & beautiful like a beauty queen Nattily dressed in red💃 , she light up the scene All who wouldn't free up, she set them free Giving off endless energy, the woman wake up the party Repeat chorus I feeling all alone in a corner, wondering what I should do to cool her I am the one who took her to the party, her safety depends upon me Signaling to her that its time to go, ah felt so shame when she shouted "NO"!!!! Doh care how I beg, she wouldn't come down Life if she wave a magic wand, she had the audience carrying on Repeat chorus This was Tambu's first (1) Road March. He would perform a hat trick winning the Road March 🏆 for three consecutive years- 1988, 1989 & 1990.

@originalTriniOne The quality of musical arrangements lacks creativity compared to tracks like this. All we get now is Fast Food music with no staying power. You can play this song in any function and it sounds FRESH! Great work Tambu. This is a TIMELESS TREASURE!!

@mattboss6875, Hi there, Thanks for your message. I think? That's due to both of them had Pelham Goddard as their arranger on their solo individual albums. Same similar rhythm and style in their music. Pelham had used the same instruments of the melody and beat. That's probably why you came to that conclusion? I hope this had help? Thanks again.
