Did anyone else but me notice how badass, new age Cafe style that the bike looks in profile without the fairings- just the front head assembly?! Wicked! Even the windscreen address to a badass look. Hell, I might have to try that! Attach the turn signals to the base of the front fairing somehow but I'm sure that's easy.

Lol!! Hadn’t considered that... until now

@@Wrenchie I'm telling you, that looks badass! Semi naked half faired like the old SV650-1000 used to be back in the day. But sharper lines like the beak of a hawk! Top mount the turn signals to the outside just in front of the mirrors! Hell the tank grommets I'd figure out a tank bag mounting system. The other grommet holes I'm sure I could find some fancy metallic painted hole covers! Make it pop. And maintenance would be SOOOOOO much easier... Lol. Hmmmmm... can you just mount the chin spoiler by itself?! The newer naked is getting close to that though.

Hi I will do this for the first time a little anxious here access to places is not very easy but it doesn't seem too complicated to me either. changing the air filter is more complicated, I believe. but that's another thing Well, I bought 3x motocool and 1x mocool, both from Motul these say, no need to mix it with distilled water my city is very hot 40 degrees is normal in summer that's why i chose to buy mocool too my biggest worry is to put everything back on the right place I couldn't find videos in my language I hope I didn't understand nothing wrong this weekend i will be doing I wrote down the 12 steps I will follow in order Thanks for sharing success health good bike rides Mine is a Z1000R 2018

I have the same bike as the one you have on this video, so it's time for me do the same. I've never done it before, but like you, since when has that stop me. Your videos are great! Keep up the good work!

Lol! Yeah that’s the spirit!! Hopefully you can learn from Wrenchie’s mistakes! Just release a brake caliper rebuild vid. My first caliper rebuild ( though I did rebuild the rear master cylinder a while ago). It went well thank goodness

@@Wrenchie I watched it before watching this video. It's well done. That's something I don't have to do yet, but I'm sure it will come in handy in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience! Have a good day!

Your lucky, to do a coolant change on my 2006 Z1000 have to remove the fuel tank, and what a pain in **** that is, if I remember correctly you should change the coolant every two years regardless of mileage

Hey bro, nice video. Do you know how to check if the coolant pump is working good?

Hi Wrenchie! Thank you for the video, just wondering, when you add distilled water and run the engine, you will not warm it up until the fan start? Then it is a risk that the water boiling? How long are you running the engine with distilled water?

So just had my 2017 Ninja 1000 ABS in the shop for valve inspection and new plugs and asked them to flush and check the coolant system because it had been running hot, not overheating but the red light was coming on at stop lights. They did all the work, flushed and cleaned the coolant system and radiator, all was good until 3 weeks later it actually overheated to the point it was puking coolant. After looking at it, it looks like the radiator cap has a blow-off valve and I'm guessing that's where the coolant was coming from. So I'm thinking either air is in the system or the thermostat is stuck. Cant get it back in the shop for 2 weeks.

That sucks!!! My factory caps do not have a pressure relief valved.... external. The cap itself is a pressure relief value (you can tell by the spring under the cap... but you know that). I think they are set at like 1.1 bars before they pop. You'd have to check me on that. I know they sell "high pressure" rad caps but I'm not sure why I'd want one. Something has definitely gone sideways on your bike. A 2017 should not have this kind of issue. May a bad water pump??? Or bad thermostat? Did they find anything?

The manual says 2.9, I changed the coolant today but I got less, I would say 2.5 liters. I started the motorcycle and waited for the electric fan to jump, even so I did not get the 2.9 that the manual says

I don t figure how to remove thermostat cap and replace thermostat if i need to. Maybe remove the throttle body assy to access the four bolts of thermostat cap.At z1000 2004 which i had the O-Ring at thermostat was melt by years and i had high temperature issues. The part number of thermostat of Z1000 2004 is the same with the z100sx 2018 which i have. Anyway if you change thermostat and open the thermostat cap at this bike let me know. I d like to thank you for your great job and your videos. You help a lot. Thank you!!!
