What, no endorsement for an overpriced piece of plastic? I love how practical this is, and how it's super cheap and easy to use on any bike.

I always put a few strips of insulating tape around the pivot points to prevent scraping the frame. I bought some Kawasaki bobbins for my SX and the instructions do say, "do not leave on when riding". First time using the stand is a bit daunting but fine after that. Just don't overtighten when taking up the slack on the spigots, it's asking for trouble ie it may collapse when lifting!

you should always clean the sides of the pistons before squeezing them back into the seals you could damage the seals with trash carried into the seal area.

I have a 24 ninja 1000sx and the Service manual specifically says to adjust while on the "Side Stand", not on a Paddock. I also check the Right side to make sure the Adjusters are set dead on equal, I do not trust that the Right Side will always landing perfectly straight.

Thanks for this. Paddock stands don't work on my Bonneville. This may be the answer. Maybe a paddock stand for the front?

FYI I don't have that tool, but I cut the corner out of a baggy and slip it over the cable and the shaft. Then I get 2-3 of the smallest zip ties and tighten around the shaft in a couple of places. Squirt the lube in and prop up the baggy so the fluid drains onto and in the cable and it doesn't spill. Works like a charm.

I understand your gripes. Sport Touring....FJR, Concourse, they are touring bikes that are sporty. The SX is way more of a sport bike you could somewhat tour with. Loving my old GSXR I just wanted something I could ride all over all day without my head falling off. The Ninja is not everything. Nothing is, every bike is a compromise. How much you care for that compromise is so very personal and subjective. My newly acquired 2020 is a dream allowing me to ride as close to my GSXR only further longer confidently in traffic. It's geared WAAY too low and close. I'll change sprockets. But it's not an FJR and it's not a track bike either. It's something more than sporty enough that I can live on. My brother has had his Concourse cross country and back solo twice. I could have easily done that on my Heritage Classic if I cared to very minimal mods maybe heated grips. 9 hours in the saddle searing heat hours of bumper to bumper no problem. This Ninja nope no way. That's not what it is. It's a lot of fun with just enough comfort (my preference only of course)

And then when you take your bike into the shop, for work etc, and they hand you the labour charge, 50% of that is removing and fitting the useless fairings

Your lucky, to do a coolant change on my 2006 Z1000 have to remove the fuel tank, and what a pain in **** that is, if I remember correctly you should change the coolant every two years regardless of mileage

Hello Good evening, I purchased a kit of braided fren tube hoses for ninja 1000sx. The kit includes nine hoses. Looking at the bike under the tank, there are also some iron fittings. I have to replace those too. I thought I had to replace only the rubber ones. I looked for them on the internet. diagram but I couldn't find can you help me thanks.

I’m changing my filter as I’m writing this and faced an issue. Otherwise than having to remove almost all fairings, my overflow hose isn’t stretching or pulling anywhere. I can’t stand the tank up. Am I just too paranoid to pull it or is it stuck? It’s like not extending at all I feel like it’s stretching if I pull it harder it might burst or tear.

One thing I’ve noticed about KZbin people is, they love to talk! I’ve watched a lot of KZbin over the years it I believe you have beat them all! It took you over 10 minutes to say what you could have said in two or three. I just wanted to know which tire pressure gauge you thought was the best. Thanks Wrenchie

Thanks for thr great demonstration... I'm thinking about getting an extractor to use on my GL1800. Being curious, how are you able to vacuum / draw the brake fluid between the MC and the caliper? Wouldn't the MC be closed not allowing the fluid to be drawn? Also, what psi are you using? Thanks again! 👍
