Coolant full flush | WagonR Scng Maruti Suzuki | DIY

Required were multiple flushes, 3 flushes with soft RO water, and 1 flush rainwater/distilled water(do not use mineralized water like Bisleri, or any other brand, they are good for human consumption but not for this activity). If you perform this activity every 2 years for IAT coolant or in 3 years for OAT long-life coolant, you will never face any issue related to car heating or freezing, giving out the best performance every time you drive.
Pre-requisite as below,
1. Coolant - Castrol Radicool Heavy Duty, OAT based long life coolant with a life of approx 3 years as if a proportion ratio 50:50 coolant to soft water is maintained throughout the span.
2. Distilled or RO soft water - 10 to 15 L.
3. Basic car knowledge.
DIY Level - Easy
Kindly note - Cooling system bleeding can be performed, when the radiator cap is open and the car engine is at the operating temperature. For this job, the car needs to be idle for more than 20 minutes with AC on. Any air bubble trapped inside the system shall be passed and can be observed at the radiator pressure cap opening.

Bisleri ya kinley is fine, do not use boring water ! Boring water TDS may be high which might clog the water circuit in near future. Use any OAT technology based coolant while you use Bisleri or Kinley.

In case you are using OAT based coolant JIS K 2234 written can be found on back side of container, then you need not use distilled water, you can go for RO water with max upto 150 ppm.

Nice video bhai..One query if I'm using liquimoly radiator flush how many flush you will recommend I'm planning to carry 2 flushes first with the existing coolant and radiator flush plus second with water and third again with water

I haven't used any radiator flush, and much to my believe I avoid harsh chemical, as there might be some delicate parts somewhere in machinery.

Hi, maine new testing kari hal hi mei, 30% coolant jo ki hua 1.3L dalna hai, and baki pani RO ka ya distilled water (but distilled milta nai market mei asani se) Total 4.2L hai capacity wagonr 1.0L engine radiator ki

Hello Ajinkya, that is legit question. With time the effectiveness of coolant reduces, which results in little bit higher operating temperature, secondly the additives gets used up which helps in corrosion resistance in the sleeves. If the process of corrosion intiates, you need to spend a lot of money.

Hi Eli, thanks for asking. We should never use concentrated coolant as the coolant is less self efficient to absorb the heat, it is actually the water which do the trick. Hopefully it clear your doubt.

So for this kseries engine, I should use 2 litre coolant and rest water? Coz my mechanic used only 1 litre coolant and rest water, saying it's a small engine, no need of more coolant I. E 1 litre extra.

Use 2Litres OAT based coolant, it will work for 3 years.

1L will also work, but the life will be less, and won't provide enough protection against temperatures, and may be rust if not paid attention at designated time.

Hello Sam, if the radiator does'nt come with a drain plug, then you would be requiring to remove the radiator hose pipe at the bottom of the radiator. Try locating it, and see if you can unscrew it with a screwdriver, if not then better to take help from a professional. Either it can be drained through the hose pipe or from the coolant pump dismantle. Honestly, both these will require a lot more efforts.

Bhai mere paas 2012 new model swift dzire petrol h. 14700kms chali hai. Bhut kam chalti hai. Aaj Tak coolant change nh kia. Radiator main green hai and level bhi thik hai. But reservoir main kam hua tha to mechanic ne pani daal dia. Car kabhi heat bhi nhi hui. To kya main reservoir wala coolant drain krk 1liter only coolant dal du. Ya pura change krau. Pls reply. Mechanic khta koi problem nhi , apki car kam chalti hai

@Naveen, 14700 kms in 9 years is quite less, but it doesn't stop you from preforming basic maintenance procedure. Just go ahead and change all the coolant fluid, as the coolant has a shelf life.

@@sampranvlogs If there is a radiator cap, keep it open and let the engine run hot when the radiator fan kicks in, the circulation of coolant in the system throws back any trapped air into the radiator and then from the radiator cap. Donot opem radiator cap out of sudden when the engine is hot, let it cool down for 10-15 mins when pressure minimises but the coolant is hot enough to be boiled again when you start the engine again.

The coolent is very toxic chemical and should never be drained to ground it can kill any animal if it consumed and will also contaminate the soil. Also for wagon r one needs to use non silicate based coolant which is light/fluorescent green in color. The dark green variant is suitable for diesel and other engine types. Choosing right coolent is extremely important, wrong one will damage the seals and packing over a periode of time.
