Great video but those blue connectors you used are usually pretty bad and will corrode and wires will break overtime. Better off to use the butt crimp water proof connectors!! I have used the ones you used before and every time had to redo with water proof heat shrink crimp style connectors. It’s worth it in the long run!! But great video thank you!

@GGarcia71113 жыл бұрын
Good question. In most cases it's the thermostat. So how do we figure out it's the cooling sensor?? Unless if you had replaced the thermostat and nothing had changed I will say that'll be your next approach. So what did you end up doing to fix that issue

So did you replace the sensor because the van was overheating or because the gauge said it was overheating but it really wasn't? I suppose either situation could need the same remedy. Just wondering.
@smithtwins90186 жыл бұрын
Don't worry Be happy after purchasing an Infared laser thermometer I realized it wasn’t actually overheating. Just the sensor was bust. You point the laser at the coolant hose coming out of the engine block and it gives you a decent read on actual engine temp.
@dontworrybehappy80806 жыл бұрын
@@smithtwins9018 Very cool. I have an infrared camera. It too reads variances of temperature although it isn't a thermometer. It should do the same, no?

Hello there,, my 2007 chevy Express 1500 has an issue,, when it's cold and don't start the engine for a few days (4 ,5 days) it can't fired up any more!!!, I towed it to a shop, they did it a tune up and they were able to fired it up,, now I am realizing the problem is not solved,, if I fired it up after 2 days I can hear it's hard to start it,,, battery is great,, ( only one thing ,if I step on gas hard, revs up, after a few seconds check engine light starts blinking,,,only happens when I force the engine,,, scanner says something about a bobbin,) Can be that the problem? Or just thermostat or coolant sensor??? Or any idea??? Help!!!!! Its costing $$$ and problem is still there.
