Ît's crazy to me that Frieza is basically just a powercrept version of Ultra Kid Buu. Instead of Endurance he has Comeback, the Gauge is literally almost exactly the same, he restores vanish on green and not on blue so he can even extend combos, Ult does a portion of the damage to standby units. They are very very similar be it Frieza has modern multipliers and as a trade off Buu has the AoE Green. But because he doesn't have that, he feels nowhere near as stupid as Buu when he released. I reaaaally like his design, because I already loved Kid Buus', the Green was just annoying.

It’s early but I’m like top 400 at the moment. UL GF + GoFrieza + BLU Cooler is actually cracked. To my surprise, RED Cooler is 100% viable to protect his brother against Baby/UI/Jiren. Cooler’s Z ability is also perfect for this team.

cooler viable to protect frieza from UUI yes the character that swaps all of his blast cards for strikes is viable against strike counters like UUI, Janemba, or Ultra Gohan

6:48 I would actually argue the opposite, because if they did make him ranged then he would have just been run alongside Super 17 and Gohan. Purple, Red, Green have good coverage, and Frieza's Comeback mechanic is better than Zenkai Cell's revive. They still could have given him a ranged blue but otherwise I think making him Melee was the correct choice if they were trying to lower Gohan stocks.
