I like 1.0's interior battles! 2.0 always feels like you fight in open areas, rarely (if ever) encountering enemies indoors. The whole breaching/door-kicking style of combat seen here in Kolkhoz and The Mine is something that I wish 2.0 had more of.

In 1.0 if you "collect" Katya's memories she appears when you returning to base and tell some lore (that voice lines were cut in 2.x). In one of that she tell about an incident in diamond mine where workers found some unknown mineral and how first anomalies and the orb in sky appeared. Also, congrats with your successfull run. But you missed very much things. For those who want to see 1.0 playthrough in depth i can recommend "Rox Plays Games"

Hol' up... Someone explain why 1.0 (aside from glitches and broken AI) actually looks like it's 10x better than 2.0+. I want a modder to bring back the 1.0 map but with all the 2.0 gameplay upgrades. Like why tf did we lose out on the old map drawing? The mines? A good f**ing ending? Where tf did the mines go? This is epic.

as a last ITR update they should update 1.0 with all weapons, attachments, survival settings, loot rules and equipment (maybe even game optimization). the single giant map made the game sooooo much more immersive. you just had to think a lot more about what to bring along since there were no shortcuts to reach areas. you literally have to walk through the whole map and commit to reaching the objective. I'm so glad the devs kept both 1.0 and 2.0 available to play. PS: I watched your Tier list video and I personally think the DVL is the best rifle in the game. it's already silenced, really powerful and needs 0 maintenance! pack some toilet paper and stick and you can shoot that thing forever. it's probably a bug that NEVER got fixed but the mags never wear out! XD

They redesigned the game to work on quest as I understand it. Which I think is fine, I'm still satisfied with the result. Except the castle, the 1.0 castle and mine were a lot better imo as an ending sequence

The schythes are terrifying. You can meet the first one on top of the crane at the factory, that's when you learn that being under it doesn't kill you. Still, the loud encroaching sound makes one's hair stand on end. I hate those things. P.S. Those mines were creepy, but honestly for it to end like that felt a bit like a Chekov's gun. The three crucifixes, being so close to the Radius... None of it had any meaning. They should have given it more significance, since they presented them.

I have been studying this version of the game for a few days the devs had added too much and modified programs to also improve on the games performance the moment the overachiever update the games graphics has been nothing but choppy and hard to play ive tested other versions and have they not added what they did for the overachiever update the game would have been more smoother and steam link/virtual desktop could play with hardly any issues ive tested this out my self with other versions however I hope the mechanics will be in ITR2 I know this vod was a year ago but this version of the game is still by far the most fun

I use the scopes where ever I can but I have really bad eye sight and often can't see distance enemy's. Interestingly enough when I was young and went shooting with my 22" rifle I had to use a basic telescopic sight!

I'm not going to lie, this ending reminds me more of Roadside Picnic. Just that last stretch to the radius feels the same as reading Shtuhart's approach to the Golden Sphere in the quarry. Now that I think about it, that's probably why the devs went with a mine as the final area

When you were discussing about what/why they overhauled the game instead of working with what they had, you said you knew the reason. 57:01 Mind sharing your wisdom, oh metal one? Was it so my dumbass with a Quest 2 could enjoy the experience? Or making the game 100% easier to play? Also can’t wait for the Stalker Overhaul mod run - I hope they add something similar to the stalker mod in game where you can adjust where or how frequently some enemy spawn; along with loot distribution.

Yes they game was redesigned to work on quest (I think). I doubt the 1.0 map could have ever worked with it, considering my full size computer had a hard time with it

Artificial stabilization on the scope for a sniper rifle in 1.0? Out of curiosity, how is that different from the Virtual Stock and Hold Breath functions we have in version 2+? I'm assuming this means it has both of those passively on all the time? PS: It's kind of whack that I remember watching Psychoghost do an even earlier build of ITR and the sniper rifle scope was unsteady and jittery af PS2: Hope with Version 2.7 refining the story, we get the Mine again, but revamped like the Castle was.
