Incredible item. Why have I not heard about this??? this should be the only air conditioner available on this planet!

for people concerned with water consumption i am sure that a closed water loop could be done - although the reservoir would need to be large enough to allow the heated water to be cooled and may occasionally need to be topped off due to evaporation

It's drier than a swamp cooler because the air coming into the building isn't exposed to the water that is used to cool the air. It's a very efficient system.

@SweetLyns people lacking water in africa or austrailia has nothing to do with water usage here where we have too mutch. however we should be using the mississipi river & the great lakes to recharge the ogalala aquifer, farming is the bigget user of water in this nation

This is GREAT! Why aren't you sold out of these things?!?! I would think everybody would want one.

Wow this product would be really useful at Puerto Rico. The electricity there is no expensive people dont really use air conditioning cause it causes more the $200.oo per month. That how expensive it is. I have a an AC at my home that I really cant use cause it causes to much to pay every month. This idea you guys have would be really great for the people at puerto rico.

Nicely done. I'd guess you might have trouble uniformly cooling the solar panels with the exhause air. Clearly a step up from a standard single stage evaporative cooler design. Thanks! Price, CFM?

@cooleradocorp Phoenix has low Humidity most of the year. What about the rest of AZ during the Monsoons when humidity is high? What about the hard water deposits, will they load up the plastic until they don't work? What is the average cost of a system for a 2500 sq ft house? You can get a swamp cooler for $700. You can get a 3 ton 16 SEER AC for $1500. Whats the price on these units ballpark. When comparing energy usage, why not compare against swamp cooler instead of A/C?

I have taken refuge from mold toxicity and chemical sensitivity in my van. It's a high roof, extended length 2017 Ford Transit Cargo van but still only 100 square feet of floor space. When temperatures rise, I feel a little like a sausage in a tin can. I'm installing as much solar power (600 watt or more) as I possibly can because solar is my only option for air conditioning and my Kodiak solar generator features AC outlets. I' m just concerned about the amount of water needed. Is it possible to use grey water? Most of the air conditioning units available to me are expensive, noisy, energy gluttons and too heavy or take up much needed floor space. I keep searching for an alternative and am hoping Coolerado is it. I saw a smaller unit in another video, whether a prototype or demo unit, I'm very interested in it. Do you have anything for me? If you do, there are a surprising number of people like me living in vans and RV's who are looking for responsible and affordable alternatives to mainstream air conditioning units.

I love this idea - but... Wasting water - is that environmentally friendly? Especially with how expensive water has become in many of our regions? It is possibly in about half of our states to spend more on water than if you just stayed with a high SEER heat pump to start out with. I think you guys are on a great track, and if you removed the continuous flow of water portion of this unit you would have a great selling item.

suggestion.... use the heat trapped inside the solar cells to run a dessicant system which dehumidifies the air going in the building... is that feasible?

Yes that would be really feasible specially with liquid desiccant

I love the product, but who the hell uses 96 gallons of water to shower??? (4gal/hr X 24hrs = 96gal). I use about 3gal in my rv.
@fasteddie41074 жыл бұрын
Good point, but I suspect the objective is that you’re not running it 24/7. You would probably only need to run it 2-3 hours per day throughout the day to cool your home or building to a comfortable level (unless you live in Death Valley). Still, that is a lot of water consumed per hour.

This system does not use much water at all... If you take 6 coolerado C60 machines and ran them against a load of 48k BTU in PLACE of regular air conditioning, you would save about $18,000 a year on electricity alone. Spending between 2 and 4k to power all of those coolerados. The water amount is low, that would only cost under $500 a year... You add some plumbing but you cannot argue that they are CREATING another problem...

A rather odd story of the thermal exchange process; something is missing.
@tsnorquist11 жыл бұрын
They should put a fan hooked up to a power inverter on that exhaust air, then cycle that power back to the unit somehow so it's using even less power or feeding a small portion of electricity back into the home.
@UnitedElectric14 жыл бұрын
Not a swamp cooler. Go back to your rock and lie for a nap under it. This a new thermodynamic cycle. I know thermodynamics and this is the real deal. Cooling aproaches dew point. Can't do that with an evap unit.
@briinums5 жыл бұрын
but it woudlnt go below dew point. in 90% of cases that should be fine though..

@Some Guy U=I have had a M-50 unit since 2009, one of the first in Arizona. It works great if you provide good quality water. We cool a 3072 sq ft work space with it and are very pleased. Previously required a ten ton commercial A/C to cool the space. I think it is a winner.

Can you say! Legionnaires' disease: A severe respiratory disease which is caused by the Legionella pneumophila bacteria. dont worry guys its not your fault its just a strong possibility when you are dealing with standing water, and eventually it will sit and get yucky! real yucky.
@yonkromis78835 жыл бұрын
None of the humid air is directed into the living space there is very little or no chance of Legionnaires disease unless you're perhaps breathing the air that is coming out from behind these solar panels
