Is it possible to schedule or have rules around what apps run and when?

Yes it is! You can set the days an app will run and the specific hour range of the day if you like. I’m actually recording a comparison video right now (comparing the Tidbyt / Divoom Pixoo 64 / Ulanzi Pixel clock) that shows a small clip of how that feature works 🎉👏🏼

Not that I’m aware of. Though you do have the ability to create custom messages inside of the Tidbyt app. You could get creative and make one, then log into the app and select it when you get a call… but that might be more trouble than it’s worth. Thank you for commenting!

I was looking at both and just ordered the TidByt, I can do some development too which is nice. The reason I went with TidByt was I didn't see Divoom providing the option to program but maybe I missed it? The quality of the web site influenced me as did the support areas where it seemed Divoom was lacking while TidByt seems to have employees/developers active.

Mine should arrive in October. I wish it had a Bluetooth speaker option so this could be a extremely awesome alarm clock. Maybe Alexa integration. I heard (if they haven’t already) are doing a twitch app. Can’t wait for this to arrive! I also wish it came in black

I was looking at this and showed it to my brother and he said it’s just a small box with pixels. It essentially just is a small tv so can you please as a owner of the a tidbyt tell me how it can compete against a tv.

Hey! Thanks for commenting. I think comparing it to a TV would be like comparing Apples to Oranges honestly. It’s not meant to display high resolution images or play any type of video. I tried putting some photos on it and they look absolutely terrible 😂 Just think of the Tidbyt as a fun, informative, retro desk ticker.

You can! The Tidbyt app allows you to set the speed & order of their own apps. You can even schedule the hours certain things cycle through. For example, I work in finance so I set stock tickers to only show up during market hours. Thank you for the kind words too, Scott!
