Hey rusty, i watched some of this vid earlier a couple hrs after the other vid of yours lol .like this one, i played these chords before only knew the name of the c chord, so now i have a new chord progression to have and make music from, or switch it up with those chords. I still need to watch the rest to get the guitar intervals.i know some of them but not all lol every little thing, chord, note, scale, lick, riff you learn just helps so much just adds joy and fun and helps more and more to knowing the fret board its all like a puzzle and we just gotta fine the pieces, .ill watch the rest later.thanks Rusty.love your vids

Sounds great but i need to apologize in advance......I've only been playing for 7 months now, so I'm kind of a noob......why do you need to find another scale in a scale? What if you played some of the f pentetonic scale after the f major chord is played and same with the C note.....switch to the c pentetinic scale after you play the chord.....in this song variation. It's slow enough where you could switch pentatonic scales melodically......if it was fast chords, it might be to hard to switch scales that fast? Hope you get what I'm saying and thanks
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel210 ай бұрын
You absolutely can do that with the Pentatonic scales. Just a different sound. It will sound more like blues rock doing it that way. In a worship setting hugging the notes in the chords, give you a sense of Melody as you play each chord. Again, you can use the pentatonic scales, and it will give you a blues sound. Thanks for checking out the video. Catch you later.👍

Can you make a video on how to strum Gospels songs , I have been playing guitar for a few years and progressed super quickly, but my strumming is off in praise songs, but worship is fine because it's not fast beats
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel211 ай бұрын
I can try and put something together on that topic! Thanks again for stopping by🙏
@tyler361t211 ай бұрын
another thing to note is that repetition and variation is so important for soloing, try to solo with a different sounding guitar over a rhythm guitar. use a different octave or a different switch setting. or a different guitar with different effects

Rusty are you using the F scale for each chord of the progression, but targeting the notes of each chord as it comes up in the progression? Or do you play scale notes corresponding to the chord you are on in the progression?
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel25 ай бұрын
Hey James, i’m not thinking scale. But as you play through the notes of each chord, it produces the F major scale. If you visualize the scale a lot of times it sounds like a scale when you improvise. Thanks for the question and I really appreciate all your support to my channel. Thanks, James.🙏
@jamesbusch2825 ай бұрын
Ok I think I get it: you are thinking chord tones rather than scale tones @@TheWorshipGuitarChannel2
@tyler361t211 ай бұрын
just to clear something up: the pentatonic scale has five notes and the major scale has seven, for f major it's f, g, a, b flat, c, d, e. the pentatonic removes the fourth and seventh note, so b flat and e. leaving just f, g, a, c, d.
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel211 ай бұрын
That’s correct! I really like looking at the Pentatonic scale for framework. And then adding notes to get the sound that I want. Thanks a lot for checking out the video. Talk to you soon.🙏
