You will absolutely love it, it’s stunning!! I think you can squeeze a lot into the one day: Tarabita/waterfalls in the morning, walk around the town and eat street food in afternoon & do the night walk to end the day! 😍

Happy to help! I stayed on the upper East side of La Carolina park in an Airbnb- highly recommend the area. Very safe and filled with great restaurants

Hey, what time of year did you visit Ecuador? Every video i see of this country is always raining 🥴 Im doing a backpacking trip to South America starting late this year, and everyting i read about Ecuador suggests to visit different parts of the country at different times of year weather-wise, which is obviously not feasible! Definitrly will go go Mindo regardless

I was there all of January and half of February! Unfortunately since Ecuador is along the equator, the weather is pretty much the exact same year round: sunny and clear in the morning, cloudy and/or rainy in the afternoon! Yeah Mindo was my favorite spot. But honestly all of Ecuador was incredible, my favorite country in South America! I have a full itinerary and travel tips in some other videos ☺️

Yeah I'm planning to do a full month in Ecuador and hopefully see as much as possible...a bit on the coast, a bit in the rainforest and then a bit in the Andes / highlands. I'm sure you could spend more in the country especially as a hiking and wildlife lover like myself but I need to make sure I make it down to Patagonia before the end of the summer season there 😅

It’s seriously amazing! Nope I never do tours- I just do it myself. You can take the bus from Quito and I highly recommend staying in Cinnamon Hotel. From there you can easily walk to all activities, besides the Tarabita which is a $6 taxi

How was the temperature throughout your trip to Mindo?

I’d say more on the chilly side, maybe low 60’s with sporadic rain. But definitely not as cold or rainy as Quito!
