One of my new favorite weapons. PSI Hermetic V has truly special and unique PvE capabilities that you should bee looking for. In PvP, it rivals and can even surpass your best Messenger with what it brings to the table. A masterpiece of a weapon, but I wish it was easier to obtain. Stasis High impact Pulse Rifle. There is no pressure to get it, but PSI should definitely be looked for and sought ever.

Wild Card's interaction with Headstone and Rending is why origin traits were such a good choice by Bungie. These little interactions go a long way to differentiate weapons in our arsenal, adding a little wrinkle to our buildcrafting fabric.

Got an enlightened action/headseeker on the first day of the season, tried it out in my once-a-month crucible adventure, and my lord. It's absolutely sublime. The gun model with the destiny 1 callback, the scope is my favourite scope from D1, and I even managed to get one or two kills with the baby telesto bolts. Thought I had it all, but my eyes have been opened by this headstone roll & all it's wonderful interactions

I've been using mine with headstone this weekend in trials and comp, when I can get games in without getting booted. The exact statis build you mentioned, and I added Cadmus Ridge Lancecap to it. Pop a rally, get a kill. Headstone + wild card makes the explosion, and Cadmus spawns a lance on me. Grab it and fly high around the corner as the headstone and wild card explosion has them reeling. You then can throw the lance either for a crystal with the resistance fragment, or at them to throw them for another loop. Pair it with stasis shard aspect and it's absolutely chaotic to go up against. Crystals, explosions, and diamond lances everywhere.

I have a Fluted Barrel, Tactical Mag, Elemental Capacitor, Headstone roll. On a void subclass, that's Stability, Handling, Reload speed, and Recoil direction all above 90. Stability specifically is almost 100. And it's got a range masterwork that pushes the range over 70. PSI Hermetic V makes my crafted Syncopation-53 with enhanced perks look like a stat gerbil by comparison. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Coolguy, you can see my history. Usually I get these random rolls around when you do to release a guide, and I know you’re a one man squad. On this season, I’ve gotten squat. I’m almost rank 100, mostly strikes gunsmith and some seasonal (minimal). One pulse, two fusions so far from the world pool. Bad rng. Thank you for doing this, I always keep an eye out but now I’m stoked for the rng. Stasis buff next season too!

Great insight to notice the origin trait interaction with Head Stone, will be looking out for and looks super fun 🥶 got one for PvP - hammer forced, flared, Range MW, Moving Target, Golden Tri - mainly want Golden on high impact for easy 2-burst in 6s & is unique. Fan of the 75 recoil being same as Messenger with CB, put a targeting adjuster to mirror Messerngers aim assist then +10 w/ MTarget

Got back into destiny 2 with new expansion, was cleaning out my vault, found this gun, i have it with smallbore, apoended mag, stability masterworked, encore, and golden tricorn. I got two drops of this yesterday: 1) Moving Target-Golden Tricorn Reload MW; 2) Enlightened Action-Headseeker Stability MW. My 2 Messengers win big on feel/usage and stats, especially the one w/ Perpetual Motion and Kill Clip Range MW (88 range, 71 stability). The specific perk is interesting but to me it still doesn't make it a better pulse than Messenger.

Try Vanguard's Third Axiom. Quite literally the same weapon model (just a little thing added to it to make it look different). Just gotta find the right shader for it, usually the blue/rare shaders look good on it, the less flashy ones can make it color like Hopscotch

Its worth noting that Pre Astyanax, the nightfall bow has wild card and incandescent on it. The new cassoid origin trait opens up so much potential for PvP picks and PvE add clear

My first and only Psi dropped with arrowhead brake, steady rounds, encore, golden tricorn, and range masterwork. At encore x 4 and golden tricorn x 1 it has 86 range, 95 stability, 100 recoil

As much as I like high impact pulse rifles I think in this meta slow firing weapons aren’t cutting it, that’s why I went with a crafted chattering bone with headseeker. Still getting used to the recoil but it’s still decently ranged with extended barrel and accurized rounds and extended barrel with a counterbalanced stock and rapid hit makes it pretty good compared to any other 450rpm pulse.

I've got 3 in my vault. First was dropped while farming a legend lost sector. My luck is pretty decent in this game. The first one was encore headstone. I knew it could be special, so I saved it. I'm glad I did now seeing this. Mine didn't come with arrowhead, unfortunately. It is my fav barrel perk. I have polygonal instead and a stability MW tho so it might be ok. I recently switched mains to warlock using osmiomancy. Have been experimenting with weapons to find the best loadout for me. I love pulses, so I'm super excited to try this out. (Yes, im a Destiny Dad lol)

I truly do not understand why Bungie would literally nerf the messenger into the ground just to add this pulse rifle in the game that can two tap and destroy everything at a deeper range than messenger. They think every weapon in the game should have more range than messenger.

0:25 Vanguard's Third Axiom uses the same gun model as Hopscotch, but was slightly modified. They're still maybe 95% identical though when you put on a certain shader (a less flashy blue rarity one I forget the name of). Honestly wouldn't mind if Hopscotch made a return in D2 as an adaptive kinetic. Could make for a nice GM reward

You kind of glossed over the Foundry/Company weapon focusing coming next season, and you appeared to have implied that this pulse won’t be focusable this way. It is a Cassiod weapon so hopefully it should be focusable.
