I live a mile from Brayton Point. Seeing those two 500 foot towers come down instantly raised the value of every house in Swansea and Somerset..

I live right down the street from brayton point too, seeing these two giants fall right before my eyes was other worldly. In the end though building those things was a massive waste of money, they didn’t even stand completed for a decade lol.

Can these guys spell dust abatement? Nothing like spreading God knows what across the entire county, gherkins. CDI, Clouds of Dust Initiated lol.
@NALTOHQ Жыл бұрын
Old buildings go down for new stuff to go up. These guys are actually really good at what they do. These clouds dissipate rather quickly, and for many of these buildings, this is the only way to safely remove them. I get the sentiment but theres a lot of thought that goes into these demolitions that you might not see on a surface level.
@billveek9518 Жыл бұрын
@@NALTOHQ I get all that and agree but I've seen other demolitions where they have areas being wet down in anticipation of the particulates that will be generated by the explosions, even at the base of rocket launches they abate the smoke with water canons, obviously this ads expense to the demolition but coating the entire area in dust particles that will be around for decades is not prudent. In most cities construction sites get fined for making dust which is nothing compared to a building going down. It wouldn't take that much to pre treat the area with water to at least mitigate the dust etc in my opinion. It's about the money.

Why don’t they say 54321 after they say 10 9 8 7 6? I always wondered that
@jongrey19165 ай бұрын
Saying "five" or "four" can be mistaken for "fire" in a tense and/or loud environment, it's fairly common practice(especially in military forces) to either skip the 5-4 or skip the entire last 5 during a verbal countdown to avoid misunderstandings.
