TYPES Air cooled - atmospheric air used to cool the refrigerant in the condenser. Water cooled - cooling tower(condenser water or line)is used to cool the refrigerant. Types of compressors used in chillers based upon capacity,advantages and disadvantages. 1)Rotary 2)scroll 3)reciprocating 4)screw 5) centrifugal CHILLER works by vapour compression refrigeration principle Other principles of chillers are :vapour absorption,adsorption,pulsetube refrigeration system,magnetic,acoustic and air refregration systems.
