Hi bro .. you need to close the following valves... (before servicing) 1 . balancing valve ( close) 2 .make up valve.( Close) 3.drain valve (open).. (After service) 1.drain valve (close) 2.make up valve (open) Make sure make up ball float shuts the water supply... Then finally open the balancing valve .

Cooling towers are used to reduce the condenser water temperature which is coming from the chiller... Water cooled chillers can't work without cooling towers..

Yes the image is forced draft counter flow type...it's for reference...but actual cooling tower in the video is induced draft type. Both types has counter flow and cross flow .
