One of the most underrated rap songs. When I heard of Coolio's passing, I know most people will think of Gangsta's Paradise. This one is better in my opinion. Growing up in the mid-90s, Coolio had a few big hits and was well-known. His music crossed over to people who weren't fans of rap. Fame is fleeting and I didn't hear about him much after the 90s, but his music will live on.

Gangsta’s Paradise can’t hold a candle to this one, in my opinion. This is the nearest and fiercest you’re gonna get to a modern Spiritual enfolded in Rap. It’s his masterpiece. Why?Because it’s about “love”. You can hang it up there alongside Lennon’s “All you need is Love” and it can sit there perfectly comfortably. An instant classic from the moment it was conceived and recorded.

There is even a better version of this one. It's almost the same vocals, the chorus is better, and the instruments are better too. You can find it on KZbin. On the cover picture of that one, his face is covered with smoke. That's the best version of this song. This one is better than the original one, but not as good as that one. Please come back and thank me after listening to it a couple of times.

You realize music is art and good music doesn't have to have a "meaning" to be good that style of thinking is so fucking stupid. Besides there are still plenty of music with a message if that's what you need from music, fucking dumbass

Still bumping 7/25/22 I'm 39 years old now and the first time I experienced a close friends death was when I was in middle school and this was my friends favorite song. The one thing I'll never forgot is seeing him in the casket and hearing this song playing in the funeral home. Rip tommy, been gone many many years now but I'll never forget you my friend.
