Imagine if we had spend that colossal self-defeating amount of money on upgrading the rail to high speed, extending it to Coolangatta airport and built out the light rail network. Instead of simply feeding traffic congestion. Six months after this opens we’ll be back to square one. Oh well, I guess we just put more lanes in, since that works so well 🤦🏽

Give it time for Transurban to swoop in offering to build toll lanes on the M1, widening the existing Motorway to 6 lanes each way.

They have some signs around the Coomera end, projecting that it will open in sections starting late 2025
