I wouldn't say they're "cash-grabbing" with the color scheme, it's just that Nerf blasters have to look as much like toys as possible to avoid legal issues, because the dark brown/black -ish color in Minecraft wouldn't really be helping with that.

Ostensibly, the bow could be modded like other flywheelers to shoot harder. But the lack of magazine cross compatibility really makes it a non starter... you need to reload your 8 round mag after every usage without having a second mag ready to go, unless you bought the bow twice. I think that places it firmly in the realm of novelty blasters

I'm surprised this one didn't use the internal magazine system of the Fortnite Compact SMG/P90. Seems like a system where you just load darts into the top of it to reload it would have worked better than a proprietary magazine and a blaster with near-zero cross-compatibility - apparently some of the older Buzz Bee mags lack the lip around the middle and can fit.

You can probably just shave off the ridge on the mags or use 3rd party mags. As for mods, might be a fun idea to get 2 of the bows (when on sale/thrifting), chop off the useless bottom halves, and glue them together to make a bow that shoots two darts each shot.

To me, Stormlander looks like it's meant for more short-range fighting. So, you might swing it, you're enemy dodges, and then you unload a round or two when they're off balance. I would've thought this would make a good Marvel Mjolnir prop blaster (blue darts could be advertised as lighting bolts, I guess) , but I guess Minecraft beat them to it for some reason. Pillager's Crossbow just looks jagged. That doesn't look comfortable to shoot, although I do like the Lshape priming handle. You certainly can't lose your grip on something like that. I'm disappointed the sabrewing doesn't have anything going on below the trigger. It looks like just a lot of unessisary plastic. They could have added additional mag storage or even mirrored the the top half so you had a dual-barrelled flywheel-powered magazine bow. That sounds heavy, but it would be another twist on a rather strange blaster to begin with.

The Sabrewing should fire when you release the string so it feels more like a bow. Since drawing the string revs the motors it should stay revved for 1 second after you release. That way the motors don't slow down until after the dart is gone and it can stay fully revved while you shoot multiple shots. I don't like it being fired by that trigger button. And I really don't understand why it doesn't shoot 70 fps.

I think the hammer should have been softer, and the barrels recessed in more so it could be actually used like a melee. It'd make it more fun to play with especially cause I think most people would want to use it that way too. Also, it would have been fun if the bow could rev with the trigger, and shot when you released the string. Would have made more sense that want. You know, it’s funny that you say the Stormlander isn’t accurate or war practical. I do agree with you, but I personally love weird blasters like this, so for my last HvZ game I dual wielded the Stormlander and the Nerf Mjolnir hammer (primed them with a string tying their handles together). It worked surprisingly well and I got really good at aiming the hammer. I agree with the review, but just throwing it out there for anyone who likes janky blasters like me: it’s a lot of fun

I think that the Stormlander is meant to be a toy where you tap someone lightly with it for a melee kill, and it can slow shoot projectiles. It's not meant to be a blaster, it just has the feature of firing darts. It's meant to be a melee that can fire darts.

I usually base my purchases on Frank's reviews. All of my purchases so far haven't been disappointing. I own a Rapidstrike, Demolisher, Disruptor, and two Hammerstrikes. I just ordered a Flipfury for $12 on Amazon and I ordered a Desolator for $30. My current 2 flywheel blasters need lubrication, so until I figure out how to lubricate them, I will be using the Desolator

Love that Minecraft, one of my favorite games of all time, partnered with nerf, but totally missed an opportunity. I get that they can’t make them look like stuff from craft, but at least make them more accurate. The pillager crossbow should use the elastic band like the cross bolt and should fire Minecraft arrows. The stormbringer shouldn’t exist and should be replaced with a pickaxe or LITERALLY ANY TOOL THATS ACTUALLY IN THE GAME that can do the same thing. (Yes I know there’s a hammer or mallet on the crafting table but that doesn’t count.) I do like how they used the bow however. Just need to switch the rev and trigger like other people in the comments said
