I honestly think it depends on the flight or security, I've always taken fruit and salads and stuff but about a month ago they took and and even my granola bars!!! I see other voggers eating fruit on planes and people say they can but it's like hit and miss

After you go through security at an airport, they have places like little restauraunts and shops to buy food or snacks at before you get on your plane, and you can take those things on with you because all of your stuff has already been checked. If that makes sense. :)

depends on the country you're flying to. If you fly to australia and you haven't eaten it during the flight, you will be fined too!

In my experience, many European airports are really strict on liquid restrictions. So similar to what you mentioned regarding 'pint-sized baggies' in US, you can't take containers with more than 100ml liquid through security (from outside the airport, into the departure lounge). These containers need to fit into a clear bag the airport supplies/you purchase there. If you do, they will be confiscated and disposed. You can only also take a maximum of 1litre - so 10 x 100ml containers. Just to be careful when you're at airports around Europe incase you have to ditch items from your emergency bag or make-up items (concealer, foundation, hand bacteria etc)

I just took a 16 hour flight from ATL to Johannesburg, South Africa for a missions trip. It definitely is a test of character!! Especially when you're stuck between 2 old men you don't know.

The flight to Paris is actually really short due to the little screens on the seat in front of you! I would suggest that next time you bring less on the plane because Charles De Gaulle, which I assume is the airport you're going to, is extremely hectic! I usually just bring my wallet and phone, passport, headphones, a book and some almonds. Honestly you get so caught up on watching the movies on the plane that the hours just fly by. And packing a carry on instead of checking helps tremendously because you don't have to worry about your bag getting lost! Hope this helped and enjoy your trip! Europe is phenomenal! Followed these rules to Japan a couple months ago and will also use them on my flight to Switzerland tomorrow-they're a lifesaver. ;)

the johnson city airport in TN is TINY... there are no direct flights. the closest major city is Nashville, TN but that would have been a further drive than charlotte. What they did made sense

Thais the airport is actually in blountville. I'm from the same town(Kingsport) as Elle and Blair. Its only flights are Charlotte, Atlanta, and chicago. And it only doesn't Chicago some of the year and we only have one big room with like 7 terminals. There aren't wings or anything. Its so small! Lol. :)

I would definitely out aside ANY type of liquid you have when traveling through Europe! I was there in may, and when my backpack would go through the scanner they would literally take it aside and go through it even for a nail polish. Any approved size of liquid has to be in a clear bag or ziplock, so I would say buy a bag like the one you out all of your electronic cords and what not in for any makeup or liquid you're going to be bringing in the plane so you don't have to have ziplock bags every time :)

I would seriously hate to be behind you in line for security with all of those liquids. That is crazy! It's also really smart to bring all of the converters in your carry on. In my experiences traveling abroad with a group of people, someone's luggage will get lost, and sharing converters and all of that can be really tricky when everyone needs to charge at least one electronic, or needs to blow dry their hair, etc.
