The OM 28?
@roymeyer6837Сағат бұрын
WOW that is one special Martin! I own 4 Martins and have played/previously owned quite a few others, but that one is a true gem. It has richer bass response as an OM than some dreadnoughts demoed in this video, and yet so much balance at the same time. The rosewood mid scoop doesn't take anything away from the articulateness of every note. Just a truly incredible instrument!

Thanks for a great year of music - always tune in to you guys (all the way from Hong Kong!). I need to do a bit of research on the Alvarez Yairi stuff - never seen it here but I do have a beautiful K. Yairi Nylon String Classic I bought in NZ in '78 which records like a Grand Piano - harmonic overtones that defy belief. I also recently bought a lovely K. Yairi 'Parlour' here in HK which I pair up with my '78 S. Yairi Parlour (brother, I believe?) for light acoustic work. Yairi make impeccable guitars in Nagoya . . . I'm assuming the Alvarez connection means some made in US stuff? Anyway - thanks for the reviews, always enjoy tuning in to you guys! Best for 2025.

I remember buying a guitar from you all when I was stationed at Ft Sam Houston in 1976. I played a few of your beautiful Taylors, but ended up just buying a t-shirt, strings and picks. The Yairi DYM60-HD is a fine instrument. An enigma. You can hear the age in the wood. Some of the best sounding mahogany, and it has some sonic similarities to rosewood which is the enigma part.

@johnwashburn3793 well, I purchased the Taylor at a good price so I only saved a few hundred. But I did return the Fishman performer amp as well. More than anything, I got a guitar that fit me better, and realized if I wanted a taylor I would need one of their extremely high end guitars.

always good to get confirmation bias.. I own three of the Yairi honduran mahogany guitars and think that they are the finest hog guitars I've ever played. I like it much much more than the D-18 and OM-18. The FYM66HD is beyond compare at that price point in today's market.

Great "scoop" Coop, thanks for summary of 2024. 🙂I am from Czechia and I really like Furch too... got my only Fender CC60-SCE 43mm. Got my eye for some Furch under 2000 dolllars. I am mainly fingerstyle folky guy - middle beginner level over all. Looking for some 45mm, bevels looks nice on that violet colour. What would be YOUR recommendation? Thanks for great stuff you are sharing with us. Of course this thanks comes to your whole team. 🙂 Edit: I really wanna for "my money" to have that "long rectangle" fret inlays, not dots. Pretty like Violet Deluxe EM, but I am not sure if its better to have sitka or cedar wood on top. I can see blue Deluxe CM has cedar... but its a little bit more expensive. Really hard to choose. I dont wanna "spoil" you by my eye, so I would like to hear your honest opinion and recommendation. 🙂 Also I had a look on Little Jane... that LJ10 CM was great choice... then I saw I wont get for that money that side inlays. 😀 Edit edit: That LJ... I am home player. But I thought MAYBE LJ will make me travel in forest and mountains. But I think I am just looking for inner excuse to buy something like this. 😀
