How and why have you become one of the strongest and best voices in this fight? A big point of Deconstructionism is that a lot of "Bible Believing" Churches pretend to love the Word, but in reality are just using the Bible as a power-trip or as a way of handling their anxieties about life/death. Part of Deconstructionism is trying to figure out of there is a better orientation to the text. Like anything in Christianity, it requires being willing to let old practices and habits die.

The only thing truly yours in this world is your own will. Everything else is like coming and going of seasons. Were the times better would give up on God? The only mistake you can make is not using your will for God. Nothing else can harm you if you serve God. The body turns into nothing ultimately for both atheist and someone who serves God. But Your love for God will remain in your soul. God loves you more than you can imagine. These are mere words unless you realise this love even in the smallest capacity. Remain sincere in your heart.

Thank you for speaking truth about this! I am so thankful for you, Alisa and others who are standing up against deconstruction…it is so sad to see so many Christians being led away from scripture and truth into this stuff. I started seeing this a few years ago (I recognized this because of my law and liberal arts political science degrees) and I thought maybe I was the crazy one…then deconstruction lies hit my sons (K12 then college) and my husband . I’m so thankful that I actually read and studied my bible and I recognize the lies.

I am a pastor of a small church in rural WV. I went to seminary at Liberty University, but I can to tell you that I've met many "old timers" who only had an 8th grade education that knew the Word of God and understood Christian theology better than many of my professors in college. I'm not saying I didn't have good godly teachers, I'm just saying that the Holy Spirit is the one who bring us to all truth. God reveals the truth of His word to those who will seek it out. James wrote that He will give wisdom to those who ask it. Jesus said the first would be last and the last first in the kingdom of God. It really bugs me when Christine "elites" act like they have risen to some higher plane of knowledge or spirituality. Don't discount yourself as just a rock n' roll singer. The Lord is using you in a great way in what He has called you to do. You're doing a great job and I'm so thankful you are obedient to God's call on your life. I'm cheering you on. God bless.

Thanks for the video, JC. A woman I know is 'deconstructing' and bringing others along for the ride. She recently told a mutual friend of ours, "I'm 3/4 of the way through my deconstruction." I realized, she wouldn't know how much further she had unless the end was already predetermined. So much for the claim of honest questioning, and each person's deconstruction being different.

I’m so grateful that I stumbled across Cooper Stuff...long story about how it happened. In a search to see if Skillet still considered themselves as a Christian band(not become Woke), received the Word with readiness of mind & searching scriptures throughout the videos to find out whether these things were so(following the example set in Acts 17) I have been blessed in so many ways. Not only by finally (somewhat) understanding what the “world” is saying(confusing the language made NO SENSE to me) but also trusting your referrals (thanks for the disclaimers so I know when to put in AirPods around my kids). But most of all the episode with Scott Goodwill. I loved the way he taught (similar to my pastor & fast talking like you lol) & now every week after attending my home church I am blessed by LLCC’s service and am beginning the V&C course with a friend. Sorry for rambling but I hope this sends some encouragement as I have been encouraged in my faith by these podcasts.

This is your version of a letter to us. Is isn't wrong to confront sin. We have great examples of Jesus and Paul doing this. I think people have a false view of love and it causes them to think that you have to always talk a certain way. Well, directness can be love, unless someone's bout to accuse Jesus of not loving well enough, which I wouldn't recommend, because he's God. 😊👍

Ugh, I remember seeing my local church leaders share relevant magazine stuff back in late 2014. This took me down a rabbit hole of deconstructionilism learning from Rob Bell and then onto Peter Rollins and looking for middle ground or a "third way". To be honest I wasn't sure if the faith I held onto was mine or just passed down to me and wasn't really mine back then. I wanted to keep the faith because I was listening to "teaching" about changing how you believe in something as opposed to what you believe in. I also claimed to have lost faith in what the church was teaching, as I saw it as bad which was teaching about God being the solution to all your problems and other charismatic teachings. I was a bit vague as I told some people I didn't believe in the main things the church believed, but it was to do with the charismatic kinda preaching. What I ultimately got sucked into was the whole "what do I actually believe thing?" Thankfully Jesus bought me out of it, when my mum asked me about my faith I said I'm not sure if I believe in God or not, or what I believe, then we watched a film together and Jesus appeared as a background character and they portrayed Jesus as biblical and then I felt like God revealed Himself to me in that way. The scripture saying seek and you will find, I was seeking for my own faith in Christianity and I found it. That happened in 2018. I never turned my back on God even though I was buying into all these false teachings, that I didn't know as false as I lacked discernment back then. My reason for wanting to keep the faith was because I've seen my peers turn away from God and then I saw there fruits, and I wanted to become more Christlike and walk as.jesus walked. Now I see this whole deconstructionilism for what it is: idolotary, where they reject the biblical God and make up their own false gods that tolerates their sin and filth. I've also come to understand there is no middle ground, Jesus said "if you are not with me then you are against me" "do not come to think I've come to bring peace, but a sword" and when people witnessed Christ in the synagogues people believed and other people rioted and beat up the "street preacher" I thank God for meeting me and giving me good biblical teaching that doesn't stray away from Christ, and changing me over all these years!

I shook your hand Friday night, you thought you recognized me. Wish I had put more of your attention on my wife, who was the main reason we were there. (She’s battling cancer and a local radio station gifted us with meet and greet because of a letter her Aunt wrote. I love skillet too) I didn’t shake your hand because you’re a rock star (ok, maybe one or two fingers worth), but because of how outspoken and dedicated you are to God’s word in a world increasingly hostile to truth, both in and outside the church. I’m heading to office bearer training tonight, and will be handing off my copy of Awake and Alive to Truth to see if he and the elders will place a copy in the church library. It’s pretty hard to get in there, it’s tightly guarded theologically. One of my elders sent me a link to a podcast analyzing your speech, and defending it against your detractors. There’s a ton of normies with you John. Thank you for being a dedicated Bible believer in a very difficult time. Your courage is something I hope to imitate
@druss82482 жыл бұрын
This was a good one! Another way to say this in biblical terms is, we are seeing the falling away. When we go back to when the term was created, we also have influence from people like Blavatsky and Crowley among other influences that put a spin on Christianity and kind of merged it with self and in all reality Buddhism. This took off in the 1900’s through Alice Bailey, one of Blavatsky’s students of theosophy, adopted by the World Goodwill, where it took root, and we are now seeing it manifest at great proportions. We have exponential growth happening alongside the growth in communication of like tongues through social media. Basically we are seeing history repeat itself as the Bible clearly tells us would happen. It’s not about doctrine, but “sound” doctrine that we need to express to Christian’s who are willing to have an ear to hear the Word. Keep up the good work John! Glory to God!

That's the crux of the issue. When we treat truth as subjective we are left pretending that there is just as much credence to the idea that God isn't real as to the truth that God is real. One of those things is a lie and should never be treated as the truth, and when we lend it credence by calling the search for God and His word "deconstruction" as though we are individually capable of finding our own truth, we don't stand firm of the truth of Christ. It isn't about hating those who waver or lose their faith, it is about unequivocally supporting their faith and journey to it alone, and standing form against the false idea that God isn't real.

John, the body language towards the end while reading TGC article. Yep. We have a family member that has deconstructed, talks like that. Basically says we are just blindly following what people tell us. We worship the Bible as an idol. And it's just stories that we get to pick through and decide what is helpful to us or gives us the happies. It makes us feel like we're banging our head against a wall. Too many conversations to count. So now we've decided to just pray. They've been blinded. Only God can remove the veil. But it's so disheartening.

There is no way to love Jesus without loving His Word!! And yes, deconstruction is posited as trendy and sexy. Upon closer examination, it is self-righteous and arrogant - though it blames Christianity for being both of those things. Deconstructionists often have problems with healthy Matthew 18 conflict resolution, bitterness (and by it, many are defiled), unforgiveness, huge amounts of self-pity, and obvious rebellion. The teachings of Jesus support none of these things. Absolutely none. If they received Jesus' teachings, they'd be helping to build His Church, not tear it down. Thanks for what you've shared and for sharing a love for the lost who are genuinely searching - *and those in the Church who are genuinely questioning.* Deconstructionism is an outright, definitive rejection of Christ and His claims.

Blessings John and all on this channel! John, while listening you mentioned that a modern writer claimed that Jesus was deconstructing the tenants of the faith in His time. I would point the author to the following scripture spoken by the Lord Jesus. Matthew 23:1-3 "Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do." Jesus never spoke against what the Jewish leaders were teaching or observing but rather he had red hot scorching words against the wickedness of their hearts that caused them to ignore what scripture instructed. That is a huge indictment on the church today. Thank you for everything you do. Be blessed in the Lord and His endless Mercy!

It’s not just in this that people are averse to “picking up their sword”. The enemy has lulled many into passivity, shirking anything that doesn’t fit within their watered-down version of love. No concept of discipline, rebuke, refinement and correction. It’s almost the opposite of what Jesus often rails against many times in scripture: those living in hollow and graceless religion. The Body is now reflecting the world: don’t say being obese is a bad thing. Don’t say that any desire or proclivity is harmful. The fear of man and fear of rejection is ridiculously high. All that said, I really enjoy seeing you get fired up. And yes, declaring war is a fitting phrase; the fact that some are so repelled and afraid of it speaks volumes. Not surprising when you see how many Believers have embraced and worshipped fear for the past three years. It has become an absurd idol that demands the spread a gospel of timidity, terror and animus. I always wondered what it would look like when the Bible talks about many of the elect being led astray. Now I have a very clear picture of it. Stand strong, fight stronger!

We are coming up on our 25th anniversary and have 12 kids, yet we love God and each other more every year and still love to rock out with Skillet and are now avid Cooper Stuff fans. I share your podcast link every new episode with our 3 kids that are grown and don't live at home. Praying they stay awake and alive and not become deconstructed or woke. 1 of the 3 has decided that Christ and Christianity aren't for her anymore. We pray daily for her to be drawn to the Lord and to live for Him evermore. She did confess as a child and had a profession of faith publicly in baptism. Something traumatic happened to her at 17 and she shut her heart and life off to God and family by 18. So prayers appreciated! Anyway, thanks for all you do and what you stand for John, Kory and family and band!

Keeping fighting the good fight....and speaking to our young people....the enemy is alive and well and he is seeking whom he may devour. All of this constant "noise" is of satan.....GOD isn't the author of confusion. THANK YOU for being such a great role model for young people. I saw you in Tupelo last sunday night and those kids will listen to you when they might not listen to anyone else. Praying for you daily as you continue in this battle!!

What you said about mindfulness and contemplative practice is 100% accurate. I am currently in seminary school and have seen this first hand.

As our pastor says often...get off the fence..the middle ground..the devil owns the fence.

Great stuff John keep it up - looking forward to what follows. I think the issue is you catch them off guard as they sorta expect you to be on their side and promote what hey do how they do it. SO when you do not they have trouble with what box to put you, and others in.

When I was woke (but didn't know it yet!), I was a big fan of Relevant. But even then, I knew it was the middle ground, and I grew more and more uncomfortable with some articles. Postwoke, I now see that the middle ground keeps moving left and away from truth...

Oh, and I like how John looks right in the camera and states, "Richard Rohr is not a Christian." Exactly.

The attacks and so called confusion over your stand is exactly that - enemy attack. You are striking a blow with a light saber and the enemy’s strategy is to confuse, slander and discredit. You know a tree by it’s fruit. ✝️❤️ I stand with you against all the wishy washy, false, ubiquitous garbage wrapped in the word “Christian”.💪🏼
