The best comparison i saw was doing a paralel between xerxes and jezebel. Xerxes, an immoral man who helped save the people of God, even tough he was gentile, unbeliever and immoral, was persuaded even tough not as convert, to help the jews. On the other hand we have jezebel, who was an evil anti God, pro idolatry, and immorality (unlike xerxes, she not only was immoral herself, but implemented immorality in her agenda to her kingdom), and against God's ppl (Just like KH... "You're at the wrong rally" anyone?). If Xerxes ran against jezebel in an election and jezebel won, all jews who said "Hey, don't vote. Xerxes' a gentile unbeliever and immoral" completely ignoring that not only his agenda would benefit the ppl of God in spite of that, and that jezebel (whom they never spoke a word against) had a demonic anti God agenda... would be to blame for everything we saw her doing in the bible. Cuz they told the ppl of God that IT WAS THEIR DUTY TO NOT do EVERYTHING possible to keep her away from the throne.

I saw Moore's true colors a few years back when the ERLC conference was supposed to be about protecting the unborn but they swapped it out for "racial reconciliation." They had a panel of black/white pastors talking about Michael Brown and an older black pastor said part of speaking the truth in love is speaking the truth, since the "Hands up, don't shoot" did not happen in that case. And Moore made some comment about when we talk about it, we have to understand people of color will have a different perspective of the same truth. Whaaaat? Truth is truth.

Piper's massive pietist 'slip' is showing from beneath his Calvinist 'skirt,' and Moore's article was one of the very worst takes I have even read, as he threw all of his Christian brothers and sisters under the bus. As a fellow Christian musician, I always appreciate John’s perspectives, especially because he always starts with God’s word first 🙌. It seems to me big Eva is more concerned with being “seeker sensitive” (which is an ironic phrase considering Psalm 14 says we don’t seek God which Paul also quotes in Romans 3). This leads to a bowing of the knee to pop culture and an ignorance of Gods word in order to stay on the “good graces” of culture. The apostles didn’t do this, they stood up to the Jewish leaders of the time and spoke the Truth of the gospel regardless of the consequences. Acts 4 is a good example: kzbin.info7OfuPTnxij4?si=ZHbFDFhpN4zWeCqF

Yes, there are discernable moral differences by degree and by topic between the political parties. Denying those differences or pretending that they are simply differences in preference (would you like evil ice cream A or B? ...you must choose one and there's no moral reason to make a distinction) is beneath a man committed to King Jesus. Just look at the platform of each party. If you don't see a moral difference or distinction, then perhaps there are things clouding your vision.

It’s a one way street because if the local church ever needs anything from the institution “your autonomous. John, I like the "normies" idea, feels humble and that we're all part of the human race, not needing some extreme secret knowledge or that anyone needs to think they are too low, on the outside. Your music and evangelistic heart (love for any listener) has pointed to Christ in this way. We can all sit on the same bus needing a new identity that raises us into a higher mindset further and further from sin/the flesh. Are you writing a new book coming up with "normies" and "eva's"? :D If you do, please add a chapter about your generation and youngers experiences moving further form normie to Big Eva. Were we made for eva Christianity or can it corrupt us because of pride? Knowledge detached from applying in love, thinking we "understand" when we don't have active experience with our will/transformation, only words/information? In college undergrad I took Religion & Philosophy for a year at a Christian Liberal Arts college and I would say for the most part my confusion went up and my faith in Christ went down. I later went to a local church's Bible Institute for a few classes and might generally say the opposite. When does complicating the simple gospel make us build more of an identity in the flesh just with a different appearance, self-righteousness rather than self-indulgence, instead of building our identity in believing what Christ/the Word says, not what we intellectualize and add to it? Does Big Eva need a new emphasis less on books and sermons, and more on if our true beliefs (revealed in our thoughts and lives) are in Christ and his heart to serve? Which moves us more to being in the truth and in the Spirit--real worship?
@qwerty-so6ml5 күн бұрын
"rise of the normies" -- who rises in Revelation 9? ALLAH = LUCIFER = SATAN = MOTHER NATURE = QUEEN OF HEAVEN = FEMALE RIVAL. Genesis 1 is ELOHIM (Lucifer and the fallen angels). They made this realm. They made man in their image. (tares) Man is an idol, a trap to hunt angels. Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat) One Gospel: Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

I am more shocked and disappointed that John Piper is speaking with The Gospel Coalition that will be partially focused on Side B; Piper and Alistair Begg... very sad.

Who would piper have had us vote for?! We all know that there is really only Democrats and Republicans.

To be fair, I believe Piper pointed out something to do with MLK Jr's theological failings AT that conference and don't think his moral failings were as widely known back then. Unless Piper has been to more MLK Jr conferences since the time I'm thinking of. I hope Seth can fact check me XD
