There might be places that equal it but truthfully summertime at the Coos is unbeatable.

Beautiful video of the Bay, Harbors, and surrounding land & sea scapes. However, not a true depiction of the depressed townships within in the area, and that’s why it’s affordable.

Coast living is great & beautiful but even more expensive than say city living. In my opinion & experience Oregon is just an expensive state to live in period. It's the reason why this state doesn't thrive. Politics & greedy companies, low wages, high rents & high price groceries are just a few things that are wrong with this state. Their motto " Come visit & leave your money here then go home."

Housing costs aren't too bad in a lot of Oregon (outside of the Portland metro of course). $1200 is the average nationwide for an apartment. The average house nationwide is $270,000 vs Oregon, which is $340,000. Though, the coastal communities and more out of the way communities are pretty close to national average.

@@krisconrad1051 Exactly. Why pay 1200 for a 1 bedroom spot in Cal when you get a 3/4 bedroom for the same price in Oregon
@krisconrad10513 жыл бұрын
@@freddygaulman5493 depends on where you are, In any of the major towns in Oregon, good luck finding a 3-4 bedroom for less than $1500, most that size are over $2,000.

Coos County is a soul crushing nightmare if you're looking for culture, diversity, career opportunities, etc. Just move out after a decade. It's gorgeous, the climate is wonderful, you can garden 365 days a year.. but the humans...ugh. Multi generational welfare families, drugs, crime, etc. Great for vacation, do NOT move there...
