The SCOTUS got it wrong as numerous encounters with police show how inconvenient it is to step out your vehicle when tyrannical cops escalates simple situations into "arrestable" one's in order to go hands on. The vehicle should be an extension of one's home where the citizen can be somewhat secure from police overreach. We the people have allowed our government to become too powerful and intrusive. @@LoowheezeBreeze that is close to the John Stuart Mills philosophy; a persons actions should ONLY be limited to prevent harm to others. While laudable it still suffers from the lack of specificity as to what denotes "harm." Regretably, I cannot accept the "No victim, No crime" view either because that translates to "the ends justify the means". So long as no one is complaining (please note the difference to the above version of "so long as no one is hurt". They are not the same thing) then there is nothing wrong. I dont accept that for reasons of undue influence being able to silence "victims" too easily. Interestingly, that is the exact concept Donald Trump has tried in his defamation suit (she benefitted. She's no victim) and his fraud case (the banks never complained) and it didn't work either time. What I can buy into, and invite you to consider is a theory of "whatever is not prohibited, is permitted." We THINK our legal system is upposed to be based on this now but, as long as we hear people saying "that's wierd (gross, not normal, unusual, etc) we will never get there.

All it takes is an accusation, even from a complete stranger or someone who's never even met you and it brings the force and destruction of government in your life. It's getting to the point now that you should never call the cops unless you WANT abuse, violence or death. It's getting to the point now where you just can't call 911 unless someone's dying and there's a real chance that they can help (which is rare)... but even then though, when you're calling for the fire department or an ambulance, you have no choice, but to also notify the police whom will also show up at every scene. At the very least, when it comes to ambulances and medical emergencies, the cops should be banned from showing up. It is a person's personal medical situation/emergency and people have the RIGHT to medical privacy... and being in an emergency does not mean that a person's Right to medical privacy just magically disappears. Yeah, cops can offer life saving treatments (like CPR)... but I would bet that for each person the cops save (cops, not fire/EMT) there are many people that they assault/kill and/or arrest for unjust/unconstitutional "laws". Also, if you have a medical emergency and the police enter your home, anything they see is evidence they can use to farther search your home and to use against you in filing charges and in court to convict you.
