As a Sevilla fan, it's great to see the best derby in the world getting some exposure, although I do have one bone to pick. When you say the derby is unchanged, that is untrue, the derby has been far less violent and fiery since the death of young Sevilla player Antonio Puerta (R.I.P). His death brought the clubs and the city together and since then the derby has been closer to just spirited competition without the violent antics (e.g. the water bottle, the bulls horns)... even del Nido and Lopera hugged it out! Otherwise, like always, this is a fantastic video (despite the result of the game you went to...it still stings), i'm very much looking forward to the next iteration of Derby Days, keep up the amazing work!

I was actually living in Sevilla at the time of this match and all I can say is that this was one of the most intense atmospheres I've ever experienced. In my mind, Betis is still the biggest club in the south of Spain with the most fans. However, Sevilla is the bigger team in terms of results over the past couple of years for sure. All in all, it really was an amazing experience to witness firsthand how passionate this derby really is. I didn't manage to get tickets for it but even watching it in a local bar was absolutely brilliant. Definitely planning on going back there with some tickets in my pocket.

I was at the derby at the Pizjuan in 2019. It was utterly mental. My team in Spain is Racing (because I lived in Santader, although I have a huge soft spot for Gijon), so I should support the team wearing green, but the Sevilla fans were so lovely I had to side with them. Betis supporters were a bit, dunno, Millwally. I got into the city about four days before the match and the tension was already noticeable. I saw no trouble, and it didn't feel like there would be any. Just complete bedlam.

UPNEXT if nurnberg bottle it and dont get promoted this season you need to go see the FRANKENDERBY. The most played german derby of all time. been played 264 times! Over the last 10 matches since furth went up to the bundesliga for the first time nurnberg have only won twice. furth have won seven and there have been two draws. this all for the "smaller" club. i went last season and the passion and tifos and hate is amazing levels. sadly when i lived in furth in the early 90s there were no derby matches as they were in different levels. The old history of this derby is amazing. from the german national team composing of only players from these two clubs and having to be seperated into different train cars while traveling to this season furth being in the relegation zone and nurnberg on top of the table and furth came away the victors! I'd love to see an updated derby days in England and hear about the histories of English derbies however the pre-match excitement isn't the same, there is no flares and shit like that so maybe England isn't the best idea. I really hope you will do a Derby Days season in Italy. You already did Derby Days in Milan and Rome but I didn't like how the videos were structured, Derby Days - Spain videos are way better in terms of structure, so maybe you can redo them. Plus, there are some really interesting derbies. The derby of Genova, which is the most beautiful derby in Italy at the moment, the derby of Turin, the oldest derby in Italy full of story and "The strangest derby" aka the derby of Verona between Hellas Verona and ChievoVerona.
