The Olds wagon is a geat buy. Someone, say a single parent with a couple kids, wants an SUV but can't afford one. There's the alternative. A lot of people over 40 may have grown up in the back seat of one of these wagons. TBH, if Randy never bought a supercar, and stuck with everyday cars, i'd be quite happy with that. All the rebuilds focussing on muscle/supercars, i call it the "Tavarish Effect". :)

Check your dash cam. Most newer dash cams have a "crash feature" based of an internal G-force sensor that will data lock (forbid over recording) of the time and incident for a few minutes before and after and store it in a locked file so it cant be erased. Also if you want, I own a security company that provides, among the standard security, fire, cctv and access - mobile fleet monitoring. Its really super cheap and you can install it yourself since I know you're mechanically inclined. We sell them to everyone from construction companies to rent-to-own lots. If nothing else I can give you free info on how to do it yourself. LOVE that wagon! I would try it at $1995 for sure. Its worth $1500 all day and on Sundays. If you were closer, Id take it, but shipping to me would double my costs. Maybe ask your dealer if you can make your front area his official lot #2 and stick yours out front under his name? Also for tax reasons, buy a $500 car every so often and give it to charity or donate it to a non-profit. They will write you a receipt for fair market, so you can balance profits AND bless the needy.

The 3.1L is a GREAT motor. The biggest issue that I ever had was around the same mileage....one day my wife told me “the motor is making a weird noise” on a 60 mile trip home. I crank it when she got home and immediately heard awful valve clatter. Shut it off and found oil EVERYWHERE underneath. The lower intake plug (think where a distributor would’ve gone in the past) fell out and allowed almost all of the oil to leak out. It didn’t even register on the dipstick! Got it repaired, added 4 quarts of oil, and drove it another 100k miles. I owned another that also went over 240k without an issue! Just great, reliable motors! That cutlass should have a $2000-2500 asking price and settle for $1800. At $1500....that’s a steal!

*I really like the fact that you buy affordable cars that are easy to flip!* _Here in the Netherlands because of the inspection, it's hard to do._ If the MoT isn't valid anymore, then it's a pain in ''the you know where'' to solve it. Without MoT is worth nothing if it is a clunker. Only good for parts or derbys. Getting the MoT requires getting it inspected, then it probably fails. Fixing al the requirements like brakes, tires, suspension, rust, lights, and emissions of course. And finally getting it checked again. Here you're better off buying something that's worth some more and desirable. Like a classic, sportscar or SUV. Keep saving these further classic's and clunkers Randy!

hi Randy, I agree with Todd below. You do a wonderful job of explaining things, which has given me a tremendous insight on the used car market. Your formula is different for this channel than supercar channels, I can watch Tav or others for that information. I like the Prius, Oldsmobile, old pickup trucks, Impalas and other stuff featured on your channel. I think you should continue with regular cars, I also believe that the cars you have sold will provide the buyers with good transportation. In some cases you might consider doing more work, like fixing the batteries in the recent Prius. Your choice, and I also understand your decisions. Wishing you continued success, you have nailed down some very interesting content.
