CoPart Hummer H3 Final Stage: Completion is Eminent!!!

Nothing like waiting until the last minute right? Well that is the case for the Copart Hummer Project. My daughter is turning 16 and the Hummer H3 is not ready yet, so we make a mad dash to finish it up. Still have a few things left to do but it's almost there. On this video we Bedline the Hood, Plasti-Dip the Wheels and Chrome bits in Black, Add a new Radio with Backup camera and install a Gibson Cat Back Exhaust system. And the best part is that we did it together. Fun Times and glad this project is really coming together just in time. Thanks for watching and God Bless.

Plumber torch very lightly and quickly on any black plastic bumper removes the oxide grayed color!!

I just purchased a 2006 also. Nice what you did for your daughter. Hope she is still enjoying it. My question is, what did you use to black out the grill? My chrome is peeling and would like to black it out.

It’s was the satin black at Dip Your Car. They sell the kit. Worked great. We sold the H3 about 6 months after this video because we found an H2 that she fell in love with. The H3 was a great car though. Had a lot of fun with it. Thanks for watching!

Yes. That is probably the main reason I let her do It. It’s mass is a good thing to have on your side when a fairly new driver. She still drives it today. Took it to college with her.

Thank you. On the mirrors they held up quite well. I have sold the car so do not know current condition. Car washes and such did not effect. They only showed small imperfections after getting hit by bugs and such while driving high speed. I suspect putting on a few more layers would have solved this. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Complete rebuild. 4 out of the 5 crankshaft bearings were gone. Runs like a dream now. Thanks for watching.

i herd that if you run a small torch over faded black plastic, it heats up and brings out the oils and pigment of plastic and makes it like new. now more plastic restorer.

Try Cera Kote! I’ve tried them all and nothing compares. The torch is an art form and could get blotchy! Wasn’t impressed with the torch
