The 80's and 90's. The music, going to the Mall, building car audio systems that would make your ears bleed, LOL, without spending a fortune. The freedom. Great restaurants that we've sadly lost. It was a great time to be a teen.

Hey randy! I have a jeep wrangler and that little hole/plug in the floor you see is a drain plug for when there is standing water in the interior, Jeep all weather floor mats even have a cut out in them to be able to get the water out easily, it's pretty cool!
@michaelhataway6450 Жыл бұрын
The hole in the floor of the jeep gladiator is a drain. The rubber floor mate sits over the hole and that's where the drain plug is. So lets say you get a bunch of snow on the rubber matts, you can pull the plug and the water drains under the jeep.

1:10 golf cart batteries are designed to be refilled, you can re-add distilled water to them and clean the scale off the fins and reassemble the battery and it will work again. capacity might be diminished but it will work. kept the original batteries in my 1988 Yamaha topped off the same way.

On that last jeep I think you hit the nail on the head about why people buy not just jeeps but also other SUVs and raised up stuff. A sense of control in life, knowing that you can go places and do things that other people can’t. What other vehicles could be more synonymous with the word freedom

I grew up in the 1980s in Wichita KS and I was a walking talking advertisement for free. I wore Nike Air (always) Polo Shirts and sometimes Izod (The Alligator) I spent so much time at the Towne East Mall that I job at Musicland and stayed and moved around with them through college. Girls at the mall, great music, not working fast food anymore, and our home was a mile from the new mall. Loved the Arcades but the one thing that was truly better in the 1980s was that I was young again with my whole life ahead of me. Every generation claims how much better and harder it was for them and how it was just better. Not true, I love the 80s because I grew up then, made friends, girlfriends , college and all my memories that over time the bad things seem to be forgotten and the good memories shine through. Just remember , You can never go home again. (Note: the 80s rocked)

Really enjoyed this one. I am a bit of a fanboy when it comes to Jeeps. I have owned at least one for the last 32 years. I've had most of the ones worth having over the years. I currently own a 2001 wrangler sport that we bought new. Lots of Jeeps have come and gone since then, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of that one. 😀. All three of those Jeeps will be rebuilt and put back on the road. Wranglers hold their value like no other vehicle I've ever seen. I wish you would buy/build a Cherokee. They're one of my favorites.

I worked at arctic cat 10 years, and Polaris maybe about 6 (still there) and yes a new side by side will easily be 30k or so,, but its a thing that can legally be driven in many offroad situations where a jeep or pickup are not legal, (often its tire to tire width, or weight) and the fact its lighter by a lot,,, going into muddy fields to get to the tractors or combines or check the cattle herd, or utilitity runs to check poles, or oil speculation... or just jump in and hit the dunes or slickrock...these are Fun with a capital F!! seals use and probably still use for training,,, there are even military variants with 50 calibres on em,,, fast,,,highly maneuverable easy to customize can airdrop!! side by sides are better then jeeps!! and the polaris's have some trail map, and group riding features to keep track of your friends to add safety, And if your in fire and rescue? these can save lives!

Randy, ever thought of using the carnage to educate more on how safe a lot of modern cars are? Without showing the wrecks which are bio hazard you could show that all though its wrecked the main cabin area is still in tact and how people would’ve walked away?

The hole in the floor of the jeeps is a drain plug. It's similar to a boat. But for the opposite reason. It's to drain the water out when river crossing...etc. Made of rubber and easily replaceable for pennies on the dollar. My picture is of a 2009 Jeep JK.

That Willy’s you like Randy has a lot of front suspension damage and that is costly. Stay away 😳!!! With you always having to be in ten places at once, do you really think it’s wise to buy a toy for yourself right now. I’ve been following all the vehicles your liking in your walk arounds and it looks like you have quite a list you might be bidding on and possibly winning most of them 😁. Maybe see how the auctions end and see where you stand. Then see if you still want the Intimidator. 👍

On the wrangler it looks like the front left lower control arm bracket on the frame is broken. It’s my understanding that Jeep does not sell this part thus the frame rail must be replaced. I also believe they don’t sell the frame rails either. We bought a totaled JK from copart that had very little damage. We were told because the lower control arm mount is bent is what caused the jeep to be totaled. It’s available from the aftermarket but apparently it’s required to use an oem part for insurance repair? Just what we were told, not sure if that’s true.
