Depending on where the other car caught the Police Unit, it shouldn't have done that much damage, or at least to the Tire rod and axle assembly, most likely lost traction and slid into a curb.

I like the cop Charger but to drive it in the US you'd have to remove all the interesting stuff (lights, PA, decals, gun box... I guess you could keep the cameras, as that's just a glorified dash cam - presumably for ANPR you'd need to be logged into the police database?) However, exported to the UK would be worth a fair bit - people here love American police cars at shows and suchlike. Older cars are stupid cheap in the UK due to our strict inspections, but anything American that makes its way over seems to command a premium owing to the enthusiast scene here. I'm guessing it's the airbags that totaled the last Chevy - especially if the pretensioners also need swapping and the module resetting or replacing. Otherwise it's all bolt-on panels. Easy fix if you can get it cheap enough and find used bags. As you say, it's the mileage that's the issue - getting on for 200k is a lot for any Chevy product. I would not want to meet the chick who destroyed that Buick in a dark alley, or anywhere else for that matter! The very definition of 'a woman scorned'. Puts me in mind of that Carrie Underwood song about trashing a cheater's 4x4. Yikes 😳

@@thomassmith6027 UK still doesn't use kilometers. We have a weird mix of metric and imperial measurements - we still use miles for distance and speed, but litres (spelled the French way!) for fuel. Weight is still mostly in pounds, though doctors use kilos (if it bothered me, I'd probably say I'm 110 kilos rather than 270lbs 😂) and switch between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit depending whether it's summer or winter (I hear the media talking about temps being 'below freezing' (0°C) or 'up in the 90s' (°F). Yeah, no wonder we have an identity crisis and can't seem to decide whether we want to hitch ourselves to Europe or the US!

I think the front clip on the Equinox is bent down a little. If you look at the door gap between the fender and the drivers door at 15:13 you can see the gap at the bottom is closer than the top .

It was totalled so the insurance company bought it as is (less their radio). Dept then can buy all new gear for their replacement car. My dept normally reuses everything that's not outdated. Total gear for our cars cost more than the price of the new car. Example $ 25,000 car gear additional $ 30,000.

Charger: that's a lot of miles for a squad. Usually city vehicles are worn out by 100 to 125k miles. That light bar is very early led technology & it wasn't a great product. Video is a good, basic unit. If you get it I can help you with its video system. Disappointed that TK did not shut the back door on you! Impressive how well the 1st 2 crash cars kept their passenger area intact
