An X300-shape Jaguar XJ12 is an extremely rare car, they weren't made for long between the change-over from the older, more square XJ40 body style and the introduction of the, much less reliable, V8 engine which rendered the V12 obsolete. These 6.0 litre V12s are extremely strong engines and surprisingly simple to work on, much more so than the V12 Merc as this engine dates from a period when they were designed to be worked on and things were much more strongly engineered. If it runs well with none of the normal danger signs of a poorly engine, and if the lower sections of the body and structure are solid and not rusty (these cars can rust horribly) then it is probably worth a punt if it's cheap. One tip though, don't order spares in the US, you'll get massacred on price and probably the quality of the parts too. There are plenty of Jag specialists in the UK who have no problem supplying OEM parts (for any market specification of Jag) for fractions of what you can pay for no-name junk in the US, including shipping...

The 124 Spider's 1.4 liter MultiAir turbo generates 160 hp compared to the MX-5's 2.0 liter SKYACTIV's 158 hp. However, the 2019 MX-5 has a revised engine that makes 181 hp. That's gonna hurt the 124 Spider's sales.

The Volkswagen EuroVan has the VR6 engine, it's Volkswagen's narrow-angle V6 that is specifically designed for transverse installation in front-wheel drive vehicles. The angle of the V is so narrow that it has a single cylinder head, as with the Lancia V4 engine used in the Fulvia in the second-half of the '60s and early '70s. They were generally pretty good engines, early ones could have head gasket issues but that was solved very early on and most will have had the gasket replaced under warranty and more than a few got new, upgraded engines. The biggest problem with those it the timing chains, these have both timing belts and chains, and the chain is at the gearbox end of the engine which means it's an engine out job to replace it which is enough to write a lot of vehicles off the road when it gets necessary although the parts aren't expensive and the job is easy enough once the engine is out of the vehicle. Naturally, timing chain failure means valves and pistons getting familiar which is the end for the engine and replacements aren't easy to come by. The VR6 is extremely sought-after in European VW circles, in anything that it came from the factory in and a few things it didn't, and is very well thought of although it's fair to say that fuel economy isn't its strong point, especially when mated to a slushmatic in a T4 (the EuroVan was built on the Volkswagen T4 Transporter van and Caravelle MPV body, also very popular vehicles here) and 12 to 18 mpg (imperial gallon, not US) is about what you can expect from one of these in normal use, based on someone who owns a US spec VR6 in the UK which was inherited from family in California. This EuroVan has the camper pop-top raising roof more associated with older VW Buses, which is still available on new VWs, this one looks like the factory Westfalia item which would suggest it probably has the mini-camper upgrade which is extremely high-quality and very well-engineered. While you couldn't necessarily live in it for the duration of a holiday/vacation unless you live very sparingly, it is ideal for people who like outdoor sports like surfing, mountain biking etc. where the extra headroom with the top up makes changing much easier and more private than a public changing room. As other people have said below, they are extremely popular and nice examples can make crazy money...

That fiat is essentially a mazda mx5 2016. I think its one of those deals where 2 different car companies make a same or at least similar car. U can tell because the body style as well as the entire interior is based off 9f the mx5. Pretty interesting car though

*that straight 6 in that jeep has more torque than most v8's. that's a good motor even when people don't exactly take good care of them, I know. my second car was an AMC Spirit looked like a big pinto and it had that same 258 straight 6 in it and DAMN that thing was fast and pulled hard too. i baked the tires right off of that spirit more than once and hadn't done a thing to the car but drive it and keep the fluids filled and changed. that jeep could actually stand to have a fuel injection put on it. would be a LOT more efficient that way and wouldn't have to work as hard. RX8 didn't look too bad and you know your way around those too. Euro van is a day camper, the Jag walk away it's been totaled out and repaired poorly. look at the difference in the paint on the driver's side, it's significantly different front to back that escalade would have been repairable if they just hadn't impacted it so hard. that one is an 07-2012 with the 6.2L in it. Motor is probably still good so is the interior but the whole front end would have to be replaced because it's seriously tweaked. Why were you out there if you weren't going to bid on anything i mean if your brother isn't going to bid on anything* lol

Its not cat litter, but oil absorber, like Oil-Dri... same kinda stuff. They used it to soak up car juices from the highway, then probably scooped up a bunch when collecting all those plastic shards. Screwed up they just dumped it into the car, but I guess they figured (correctly) it was totaled.
