I appreciate your videos. I found out I have severe COPD a few months ago and need to give up smokes, I feel like hearing the news was a death sentence. You truly do inspire me, waiting on heart results back then going to give up the smokes. Thank you. I'll pray for your new lungs

High calorie liquids is probably the way to go for you to gain weight. I know when I've eaten to much it makes it hard to breath but it hasn't come to the point where it has stopped me from causing myself that misery 😊 I hope you don't mind if I'm frank about what I say. I have about 40% lung function and I feel like before this last year you were doing better than me. I can stand to loose about 35 pounds but for me it's hard. I'm a junk food junkie even though it makes me miserable. I get inflammation really bad when I'm bad eating to much sugary food. I'm wishing you happy thoughts with weight gaining. How much do you need to gain, can you say? Also saying prayers for you. I've seen elderly gain weight on Ensure and drinks like that. Allergy season is getting me right now. I had a covid test done this week because my nephew was exposed and I was felling awful. Headache, cough, nasal congestion, fatgue, all the same symptoms for allergies and covid. Negative result so I know now it's allergies. Better safe than sorry my Dr says. I'm just taking psuedophed. Dr said take 10mg of prednisone for 3 days but I don't think I will. Prednisone brings down your immune system a little bit. (Remember I'm an old nurse). I'm going back to Ohio at the end of the month to see my Pulmonologist there and to visit of course. My daughter, grandkids and great grandkids are there as is 2 brothers and my twin, has copd and is on O2. My youngest sister is here in Texas. 😂 Sometimes I ramble in different directions 😂. My PCP here in Texas is wonderful. I told her my predicament with finding a Pulmonologist here and she's helping me to find one I will like. In the mean time she will take care of my needs and agreed that I should see my Pulmonologist in Ohio since I'll be there anyway. When I get back we will go on the hunt for a new Pulmonologist here. Thank you again for sharing your journey with us. I'll go for now. PS: I don't recall you saying before you were on Lasix. Is that new? Hi PandemicPat! Good to hear from you again! Weight gain, weight loss - I'm sure either way, it's all difficult. Good luck on your journey to lose. Too bad we don't live in a world where those who needed weight could get it from those who don't. That would be great!! 😂😂😂 As for the lasiks, yes I've been on them for years. Very small amounts. I believe I spoke about it in a past video on meds, but I could be wrong. In any case, they would like me to gain 10lbs ... so I will be working at that one pound at a time lol. I know it will not be easy, but I am hoping I can get it done. Well good talking to you again! Keep in touch and stay safe out there.
