Come on. The term sustainable is not it. We all know that construction takes a lot of resources. Let us get straight to the point. These people are having fun doing awesome parametric architecture with the new tools of our current times. These guys are having a lot of fun building. Kudos and my sincere respect for them.

Im wondering when architects will understand that while just a few people occasionaly admire modern architecture, almost everybody appreciates the traditional architecture. Why most architects ignore what really looks beautiful? Not that modern arcitecture is always bad, but so may buildngs built with modern techniques (some of which were included in the video) dont look good at all. The just look strange. Nothing more. If architects embraced more the traditional techniques, and based on these, tryied to apply their knowledge, many cities would look significatly better and more attractive...

As the saying goes - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We need architects to try new things and it is okay not everything is beautiful to all, some times it is about form following function and other times it may a building intentionally meant to be different or maybe taste just differs. Some of the best architecture takes time to understand.

@@bzdtempOf course architects should try new things, and should have great fantasy. That was always happening. Using the methods of traditional architecture doesnt mean, by any means, that fantasy, inspiration and talent are not required. But what Im saying is that modern architects have completely rejected traditional architecture (as if they hate it!) which is the one that people appreciate the most. Its not that "not everything is beautiful to all", but in reality MOST modern buildings are not beautiful to most people. Its very rare to see a non architect to admire a normal building (again, I dont say that that it doesnt happen at all). But when we see that people dont like the aesthetics of most modern buildings, then its evident to see that architects are just failing to do their main job (to make a beautiful environment for people to live in).

@@stelios5314 Traditional buildings are not beautiful to all people either, they look bland to many of us.

@@krashd Oh yeah, I guess that's the reason why Paris, Rome, and other cities full of traditional buildings happen to be top touristic destinations? Im not saying that literally all people without exceptions prefer traditional buildings, but generally, yes, thats the case. Symmetry (among many other things) is sth that people inherently tend to appreciate.

@@stelios5314 If you say traditional referring to the neoclassical and barroque buildings from the past, I believe that the point is more about the scenarios they create in the city. A great part of the fascination with those buildings are the historical gap. I do agree with you on the boring and weirdness of metallic structures glazing at us, but I believe that we only need to stop thinking about a made up future and incorporate what we already have.

Plant more trees. God, Copenhagen looks like an eastern bloc city, sad sight. The best park is a graveyard.

Lots of parks in Copenhagen. Seems like you just don't know the city.

@@krashd I love Copenhagen and I think it's full of beauty, but almost every street has 4 to 6 lanes for cars. I refuse to believe anyone finds that beautiful. It's not great for pedestrians.
