There are a few Thanksgiving events in Copenhagen mainly for American expats. I've gone quite a few years. There are both restaurants like American themed ones and private dinner parties. You could also invite someone yourselves if you are up for that sort of challenge. You really should look into it though. There are options! Oh, and it might also be a good way to introduce yourself to some of the American expat community. It's getting quite big.

Welcome to Denmark, thats a very brave decision to move to a foreign country. The long dark winters can be tough for most people, specially at times where you miss your family and people in America. But there is also a quiet cosy quality in a warm living room, when it's cold and dark outside, hope you will find that quality. @@asaadac Thanks but luckily I'm fine under the circumstances. No serious head injury thanks to my helmet (which cracked) and nothing broken. Still a bit bruised and abrased by the asphalt though. Btw. I can reassure you that my type of crash is highly unlikely and pretty much impossible in central Copenhagen. I live in northern Zealand and I was riding on a bike path next to a forest (going slighty down hill so I was carrying good speed). Two deer decided to cross the road and suddenly came jumping out the forest from out of nowhere. I had no chance to react and I collided with one of them. Sadly it happens from time to time that cars collide with crossing deer in this area but I have actually never heard of anyone else doing it on a bike. the reason u left america doesnt really add up, from my pov. U can live a healthy life in america, u can find work/family balance etc. They also have tons of support for Women/Mothers; thats why so many illegal immigrant/single mothers have recent moved here, because America has social services unlike many other natiions. As far as safety, Denmark is safer than the USA, but its for reason much deeper than "culture". U can experience crazies/crime anywhere on this planet. But to act like crime in America is unavoidable is a false narrative thats way over used. Been here since the 1980s, and things use to be much worse. GL to you though.
