Thank you for keeping Visual Studio Pro up to date with vscode co-pilot chat/features. I questioned renewing my VS Pro licenses when I keep using vs code so that I can use the latest tools (talk about breaking flow...) It's been super frustrating to not having the latest tools being hyped on the licensed product that I'm paying for. I hope to continue to see closer release parity between these Microsoft products. The more you do this the more inclined I am to stay a paying customer of the visual Studio Pro products. Parity = Payday.

would be nice if copilot chat automatically get the context of multiple spots, instead of just that very specific up to the end of the file.

Someone can please explain if only the Copilot Enterprise plan is aware of the full codebase (all files in a project) or if Copilot Business also does that? On the pricing plan it says: "Chat personalized to your codebase" What does that mean??

Copilot chat doesnt really work that well as it constantly loses context and can only understand context in the viewport. It doesnt know that it can read files in your project for context. Its rather broken at the moment. I prefer to just paste my code into chatGPT. Copilot chat could be so good but its so badly implemented its not worth using.

Well you must give what you want to the copilot chat, I am new at programming but the copilot chat can help me build a HTML barebone, CSS styling, improving my code quality, etc if I always give the context what I want to do and what I want to achieve😁

This is my experience as well, unfortunately. Also doesn’t seem as smart as native Chat GPT4.

and does it leak my company's private code to Microsoft? what if Code must kept private and never should leave the company because of licence requirements?
