There's usually some part of any reality (unwanted or otherwise) that you can change and a part you cannot change. The important thing is to develop the skill necessary to discern the correct difference between the two, so you can apportion your resistance of reality appropriately.

@@TheRealColBosch It is a quite terrible way to present anything coherent. I would be a bit skeptical that bullets would make you stronger. They tend to be made out of substances that the human body finds poisonous and in shapes that can poke holes in your delicate innards (like your intestines).

@@KairuHakubi The important thing is to use your intelligence wisely. Usually the thing you can't control and the thing telling you not to worry about the thing you can't control are actually two different things, and you can use that to your advantage. If they are, in fact, the same thing, then yes, you probably are in trouble, unless you can find something else you can actually control that has some bearing on the other thing (which might alleviate the situation at least somewhat). Somehow this reads as more confusing than I intended, but I hope that the idea is at least coherent.

I somehow feel that there were CEO's in the early 90's who were perplexed. Because they bought hundreds of copies of Coping with Stress and distributed them among the employees, and yet. They still feel stressed. So the only logical way forward was to ban talk about stress to keep the stress levels down. Buying a stress level tester, testing periodically the employees, and firing them if they cannot stay under a certain level. The troops are now dwindling. But dammit, this is a war, a war on stress. And no war has ever been won without sacrifices. So, chin up. And get back to work! And by the way. Keep the windows closed, open windows ruin the ventilation.

Ooh, from Software Etc.! "It's the Software Excess Store. If it's soft, we're aware." Digging a bit further it looks like GRASPRT is the GRASP Runtime. GRASP (Graphic Animation System for Professionals) is a sort of proto-Flash that let you create scripted animations that ran on 8-bit PCs. Later versions could play back Autodesk Animator animations, standalone or as part of a larger script. This also reminds me of The Sexuality Life Dynamic, a legendarily bad Apple II "game" that has also been preserved at archive.org.
