I've never liked ballet, but I can appreciate talent. Anything done well should be applauded, and I can see this has been done well. In case you're wondering: ballerina foot trauma brought me here. I can't believe the pain they go through. Lots of respect for them to do what they love at such costs.

Ottima riconduzione dei passi all'euritmia melodica. Superlativa.Bighin Giulio Renzo. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

В первые вижу эту вариацию в таком исполнении. Очень музыкально. Выдержаны все акценты , балерина сильная. Особенно впечатлили вращение и прыжки. Жаль, что эту версию более не исполняют.

Looking at the Mariinsky today, it's hard to remember they used to be able to do this...
@miazhong538 жыл бұрын
***** Thank you for your comment, which brought me back to this beautiful video. And yes I do mean every word I said. Mariinsky dancers never have these same supple knees any more, or the same clear, classical body geometry. They no longer interact with the space around them so fluidly, and they don't even be with the music as much...They are just not dance as generously - too much for their ego, too little for the steps. While dance should be four-dimensional, the currently day MT dancers dance two-dimensionally - a beautiful shape from certain angle. This is not the fault of any particular dancer, it's the gradual change of the entire school under the encouragement of their immediate and unimmediate audiences.

Wonderfully is beauty the ballerinas 👏😍
@Bnesque11 жыл бұрын
not only arms. they use arms and head from the core of their upper body. that is the special trait of Vaganova/Mariinsky style. You have to have extreme upward lifting of your upper body. and you have to learn Vaganova epaule and head/arms/body alignment. just caring your arms makes your arms use very decorative, not substantial. i suggest you to go to Vaganova teachers if you can.

Actually, her name was Shapchits (she's now known by Irina Zavialova... her husband, the wonderful Mikhail Zavialov is the Franz on this DVD). She moved to western Europe shortly after this was filmed. She's an incredible dancer and now teaches with Peter Schaufuss's company.

I tried to have the banana shape but honestly, i realized you just have to dance with your own body's skills, if i don't have them, i just don't :P. And regarding the arms, i've seen many styles but this is the most elegant and graceful for me! so i'm learning to feel them in this way!
