Let me try to elaborate the issue with Dark Knight's 6th Job reaction. Nothing is fundamentally broken with what we got, but there's many disappointing aspects about the current state of Dark Knight in 6th Job. Dead Space started as a really weak Origin, and it suffers from having no built-in IED until you level the skill. Much of Dark Knight's IED is invisible on the stat window, and we have IED applied on the majority of our important skills, but Dead Space lacks that IED until you level it. Meanwhile, a class like Hero or Paladin already has high innate IED or an IED debuff, and their Origin simply adds more. Feels like Dead Space is only catching up where other Origin's exceed. Despite being the only Origin buffed moving into the Carcion patch, it's not that much stronger than our main burst skill "Calamitous Cyclone". But then again, I don't know where other Origin's lie in terms of damage, so I can't comment further. Gungnir's Descent VI's damage and IED boosts are fine and good, but it still having the 120% HP Bonus is unbearably unacceptable. If you're not aware how this works, the Mastery version of the skill takes your MaxHP, multiples the value by 1.2, and adds that to your damage. So if you have 80,000 HP, you're now doing 96,000 more damage! When you're probably dealing billions of damage...Even the 4th Job version still having this affect is unacceptable (multiplies MaxHP by 1.1). We were hoping to get this improved (maybe 1% Damage for every 10,000 HP?) but alas. Aside from that, Dark Knights are frustrated at not yet having Dark Impale VI, because the current Impale is an incredibly weak skill for mobbing, despite it being your core mobbing skill. Darkness Aura is also a pretty weak 5th Job Skill, doing around 7% in a total BA despite being a 180s CD burst skill, so the Enhancement Core for it is really low priority (but then again, it's also a defensive buff, which probably explains the lower damage.) Surprised it didn't get a stronger defensive effect with the Enhancement Core. I think that's all I got for now. Although there are other problems regarding Dark Knight despite the remaster, truthfully, I suspect the complaints are mostly because we got a (deserved) nerf after Savior, so they're hoping for some rebound lol

As a Dark Knight main, my biggest complaint is that we have NOTHING to do with all this health. Getting 60% HP and MP sounds cool but when every boss in the late game deals percentage damage, it means nothing. In fact, even the MP boost is meaningless since you're likely popping Power Elixirs to heal when you take a particularly nasty attack. Even if you rely on Lord of Darkness to heal, you'll still rarely (if ever) actually run out of MP. We do have skills that work based on the percentage of health you have compared to your max, but as far as I can tell there's no difference between having 70k HP or 150k HP. I think Hyper Body should have an additional effect that, when active, gives additional stats for every 10k health you have or something. Something like +5% Damage, +5% Final Damage, +5 Attack, etc for every 10k health (of course, numbers may have to be reduced for balance). At level 158, I'm just above 150k health. Maybe even add a +1% Damage Reduction that resists percentage boss attacks (like Spear of Darkness) for every 10k MP. I'd also like Final Pact to be adjusted so that you don't have to disable it in order to switch to a different pact. It's just slightly inconvenient. Just make it so you can select the same pact you were already on if, for whatever reason, you want to remove it. I'd also like the ability to just forcibly activate Final Pact and get some additional boost. For instance, if you have the Lesser Pact then you can force it to activate and get +70% Damage for 10 seconds, but your pact is now on cooldown. Then adjust the damage buff based on which pact you have, like +40% damage for 20 seconds on Moderate and +20% for 40 seconds on Greater.

Sometimes the numbers seem just random. Lara's origin and DrK do the same thing, but Lara's does like 2x+ as much damage lol

Neat Buccaneer is next, I may be wrong but I think Buccaneer is gonna be great with 6th job. Octopunch as the mastery core is huge for bossing, getting the enhanced version with a 75% uptime thanks to Stimulating Conversation. For enhancement cores, Lord of the Deep damage increase is not just great to boss but also to grind, in grandis is hard to 1 shot with it, perhaps now is possible. The rest of the skills are for bossing , overall better grinding and much much better bossing I hope.

Heya coppersan! I've been thinking about starting a night walker or a night lord but I've been having trouble finding any ways to acquire throwing stars, is there a good way to find any? should I just level one and hope for mobs to drop them or are there quests I do not know about?

I dont think the night walkers origin is badly designed, despite not fitting with the burst theme if the class. It just does no damage. 40 lines of 2700% is worse than most 5th job skills.

Pretty sure u then multiply 40 lines of 2700% by 5 times cause it bounces 5 times and it looks like it does damage everytime it bounces so if you add up all the percentages and can get the full star dmg every time its one of the highest dmging origins but ye its not a quick burst(and it does damage before stars too)the damage is crazy

Honestly, as a Dark Knight main player, I've always loved this class since 2005 when we all loved the legend FangBlade, now as a 258 DK main, I still love the class, the mobbing isn't that good tbh, but still if you love the class, it won't seem that bad, the bossing is quite alright, besides our awesome burst (Love the calamitous cyclone btw), Gungnir's Descent is not a good bossing skill or needs to be improoved honestly, I always struggle when bossing and have that anxiety for my burs't CD to end so I can do a decent damage again (besides spear of darkness which is insane). I hope to see a remaster of DK soon, which I don't think it will be in a near future tho.
