Can confirm. The bishop in our party (got similair stats) barely keeps up and is either in the red 90% of the time. Forcing the rest of the pt to wait until they reach blue.

It would be great if the floor requirement for Mu Lung Dojo was removed so that newer players could access the training dummy out the gate and on top of that an excellent addition to that would be instead of how it is now with manually inputting values you could select specific boss presets. e.g "Oh I wonder if I'm ready to fight this boss" you could select a boss from a dropdown menu or something and select like, Chaos Vellum or Lotus/Damien etc

A great idea! I think it’s not well known how to do a Dojo BA too amongst newer players. Some direction to it in the boss guide would be helpful as well.

i would always go into the boss ui and help with carries bc it was a nice way to make friends, the social aspect of the game is almost completely dead now bc of this 5% bs. I carry them with their mules, they carry me with their mules. People who pay for carries are probably less than 5% of that 40%.

Nexon literally wants us to put in the description; Struggle pty, must have x% ied, x arcane force, x amount dmg, and be lvl xxx

As a Paladin main I cant join any random hard bosses parties because I cant do enough damage and its not like I don't have any investment and makes it worse that one of my main buff (Divine Echo) that in theory doubles my damage also buffs one of the other members thats already leaving me in red.

I was wondering why sometimes the circle would be green, and then would sometimes switch back to blue or red. That has to be the worst way to calculate total damage done

Right now you have to google it, something along the lines of “maplestory *boss name* monster”. It should tell you on the wiki link. I’ve also slowly been working through making guides for each one that describes requirements

I kinda understand this update but didn't know it was reboot only... That's kinda bullshit, should be implemented in all servers if they really want to accomplish something. I'm getting into the game with New Age update, because I can do legion and links decently without wanting to KMS, and this 5% damage requirement is fcking me over because I have strong friends but they can't play with me or help me progress quickly only because they have away too much damage or I can't deal 5% damage for now. Also this is a big kick in the nuts for new players or early-mid players that need to create boss mules, KMS made a graph showing that most of the mesos come from boss crystals and we all know that is because players have 3+ boss mules where they trade carries with guildies or friends, now only new reboot players can't have this because we gonna need to play 100 hours on a class that is not our main just to make a extra lilttle money (and struggle with this).

i had exactly same thoughts, maple don't need support class anymore. Just dodge and crazy dpsing boss thats all you need. ofc for the ppl who doesn't wan to spend thousands of dollars to play regular server. It's all business in the end of the day. So ppl need thousands of hrs of grinding in reboot b4 they can be boss ready, more hrs = higher chance to purchase NX for pets and everything

as someone who deals with multiple types of colorblindness, I hate bossing in any form that deals with color, pierres stupid little hats I have to have my wife sit next to me and tell me it the blue / purple hats are matching. yes it says in small font in the chat if your hat is matching or not but if he swaps hats really fast I have no way of telling how recent that message was. idk I think you're right. some of the QOL changes have been needed for years but its not even straching the surface of whats needed. dont even get me started on the 5% dots I can't tell unless the difference between the orange and green dots, or whatever color they are EDIT: it should say how much damage you've done in the circle (to the boss) not indicate a color. EDIT EDIT: Leave the fricken cow alone

Lmao I go through the same exact thing with Pierre. Not that it solves the issue, but it helps to remember he always switches back to purple before changing to another color. I remember being so confused when I first fought him. Yeah the QOL has a long way to go, but I am glad they are giving it some attention lately. Haha no mercy for the cows 🐮

I extremely HATE this update! One of the worse update Nexon had done!!(beside.jet.delete.rip) I heard that there were alot of complaints about how easy progression is in Reboot from both KMS and Regular servers thats why nexon made 5% dmg requirements which is STUPID because Reboot we have no access to trade systems, the closes Reboot had was boss trading but Nexon decided to take that away which put Reboot players at a disadvantage. Regular servers you can basically just buy end game gear with real $$$ Reboot we be grinding for mesos for hours creating multiple bossing mules and such. Nexon might as well make Maplestory a solo progression and take away party/guilds systems since newcomers will have a hard time meeting that 5%dmg already RIP

It feels like that is what they want. Because remember they also took away the item expiration for drops and since most drops in boss rooms are instanced you're screwed either way because you may see a book or a chest but it's not for you.

Just another low iq move by Nexon. This has hurt the social aspect of the game greatly and has made the gap between new players and players from 2+ years ago even larger, as established players have traded carries for years to build access to cracked boss mules as well as progress their main much more quickly. Like you pointed out, this doesn't improve the struggle party aspect of the game due to overfunded characters taking huge portions of the boss hp and can even lead to trolling situations of 4-5 players not getting boss drops joining a cracked boss mule who didn't need a struggle party to begin with. In endgame parties, support characters with low SAC can no longer do 5% and even if they do have high SAC, every support character besides a Bishop needs to be more giga funded than the rest because of Nexon's ingenious (/s) balancing.

Reboot is not pure solo progression because if it was not a single person right now would be able to run the latest content because soloing the bosses is a herculean task. In fact reg server is far more solo progression because I can go and buy my power with money and skip having to even play with people. Reboot is about "THE JOYS OF PROGRESSION" not "The joys of completely solo progression".

It sucks that they implemented the 5% nerf. But realistically kinda sucks that end game players just are able to trade carry for a chance at dropping end game gears like pb items or even arcanes. Especially if ppl are selling Carries for those end game items. It’s a good way to stop that for reboot

I main paladin. I love the class. I've been running H.Will for weeks without problems, always blue the whole fight. My BA is 4.5t/40s. Last week I ran a last minute h.will with randoms 3 275lvl NL's 2 275 shadowes and me a 265 paladin.. I literally could not keep up with the damage and ended up red. You now have to be careful not to party with people way outside of your damage range. I ended up dying 2 times and my dmg up time was exactly the same as all my other runs where ive been blue the whole fight. My DPM class literally just couldn't keep up with the higher dps/burst classes. Kinda sucked =D

I think as long as you still have fun playing it’s all good. It’s just a hobby after all… However, if you hate playing the game, but still log on or it’s detrimental to other aspects of your life, yeah phasing it out is probably a good thing.
