i personally recommend grinding Evan , Aran and Mercedes for beginners as Evan and Aran provide solid resource sustain and Mercedes the exp bonus from Legion effect. Aran boosts the exp orbs and evan lengthens the rune effects which are both great for exp farming for other characters.

Some random bits of information I think are important to know: -the pirate link isn't useful endgame. -Warrior link's role is taken by familiars -Illium link is mostly only needed by classes like Battle Mage that are constantly moving during burst. It is useful while training any character though. -the importance of kinesis link was understated. Crit dmg is really good -lumi link powercrept by mage link, but lumi is a lot easier to get If anyone's looking for which links/legion to create first, Scardor has a constantly updated spreadsheet guide with the priorities of each character. I believe it's !legion (edit: !links) in his chat on Twitch. It's what I used when I was first doing legion. Edit: I'd also recommend just asking people of your class what links they use. The Maple Central discord has a channel dedicated to each class. Some classes also have their own discords.

can you be more specific in what do you mean by "lumi link powercrept by mage link" ? Lumi link skill looks like it has bigger numbers IMO

@@TheJeffddddd The mage skill can be stacked 3 (?) times so he probably means that the combined effect outweighs the lumi link.

@@rud69420 I'm also confused and I see what @TheJeffddddd means. If you stack all 3 exp mages together, assuming effects are additive, you end up with at most +6% DMG and +6% IED (only on marked enemy), whereas lumi is +20% IED?

A tiny addition: most classes use a Primary stat and a Secondary stat. So while putting points into your Secondary stat is much less effective than putting points in your Primary stat, it does add up to your total damage. If you play a Warrior, you still get some extra damage from Dex. 1 dex=0.25 str. So, if you have 100 Dex from your Legion, that would increase your damage as much as 25 Str does.

Does 3str and 3dex > 4 luk for Db?

@@yw3178 your total stat value is 4x primary stat + secondary stat. So 4 luk gives you 4*4=16 total stat. 3 str + 3 dex give you 3+3=6 total stat. So 4 luk is still a lot better.

my legion i emphasize a lot on crit damage, that is because my main is aran, his main attack skill is beyond blade which has 100% crit rate and crit damage adds a huge boost

I've recently started getting back into this game so this feature's rather new to me. Reminds me of that card system that used to be around, but it looks like this I that, but HEAVILY revamped. I'll just have to theorycraft on builds and keep this video around if I feel I need to either make someone or delete them for a better class.

Can you do a video on some things new players don't really know? Like how to solo bosses (make own party, get to entrance), set up legions, best hunting spots and why, how to quick travel and when, things you might not know to prepare for in high level, how to manage alts/storage, recommendations for early mesos...content that is hard to find but good to know about...mastery book farming...popular settings... etc. I'm sure you can think of things we newbs wouldn't know. Even figuring out how to form a party or get into a boss was very challenging for me at first.

You didn't mention it but explorer thief link skill can be activated if you have explorer mage link skill so they are very good together for bosses.

well I start Mercedes as my main in reboot cause i though her "exp link skill" will be useful for other characters, she was great fun, but after lv140 ... jeezz have to spam so much keys in order to do combo to actually kill the mobs ... Low HP Low Defense = really easy to die.. or maybe I play it wrong.. Just wonder if you can make a updated guide about her thanks >

just grind it to 120, which you already have, and switch over to something else. the 5% exp difference is not much unless you are talking lv 200+. you can always come back and grind mercedes up when there is an event (like right now, farming those coins and trading those for lv ups, those coins drop withing 20 lv range and you have to be 141+ to access it. you can only lv up till lv 200, but hey.)
