Agreed. I didn't know what to do, but looked up some guides for newbies and that helped a lot. I started back mid Feb of this year, but the last time I played MS was back in 05 til 2010. Getting old and this felt nostalgic. Hooked again haha. It's still a learning experience for me though. Content like this helps beginners and return players like ourselves. ive been playing maplestory since i was 9 years old, but i always had a bad habit of not looking into ways to build my characters better, so i had lvl 150+ characters who were super weak haha! your videos have been a lifesaver, i still have a lot of progress to make wrt damage and stats but my characters are so much stronger thanks to your easy-to-understand videos. theyre super helpful and i greatly appreciate your content!! thanks again man :^)

Also i just found out, the explorer class links can stack so if you have 3* thief you get 3* more dmg

Doing legion and link skills definitely helped me start doing daily bosses (on easy at least)! The grind definitely begins when you need the relevant ones level 2/3

For Storage, the pirates (explorer) get more inventory space with their job advancements. Gotta hold all that booty. You also get storage from some daily log-ins and of course events.

Been putting off legion for some time now. didnt even realize how to level it up until I spoke to the legion guy and leveled up. im like 2.8k legion but my link skills have been nice. i upped my range with legion alone by about 100k just with my baby legion points. Now to level up more mules haha xD Great video as always coppersan, thanks :)

Get at least aran link 2 first. Combo orbs are way more impactful at lower levels which make the rest much easier to train. Aran link falls off late game.

And to add to that, some classes utilize Aran link better than others because not all classes create combo equally fast. For example Night Lords stack combo amazingly fast with their marks.

It doesn't even seem that impactful early. The orbs barely give you more exp then killing a few mobs in the area even with aran link but I haven't compared when tons of combo is built up

btw i believe the resistance invul works with darkknight's revive adding extra seconds of invincibility. I haven't tested it though also Mihile's link skill has become more useless since all explorers have 100% knockback resist now, i wish they went with his guard theme and made the link skill a lesser copy of his royal guard with a long cooldown (180 or 300 seconds maybe), like maybe you are invincible for 1 second if you are hit deal x amount of damage in an AoE around you and gain Mihile's royal guard effect for like 5 seconds or something (Mihile gets it for 10 seconds) this would in my opinion be a great idea and it fits his theme as well as being unique

okay really don't understand the their explorer link skill "upon debuffing an enemy" how do i know if i'm debuffing an enemy, or if my class can do that? i've always wondered what it means, i see all end game players using this link skill for bossing but i don't really understand how the link skill works. i play an ark, do we debuf, and how do we do it?

Debuffs usually mark the monster or put a symbol on their head. You'll know if you have it if the link skill icon shows up in your buffs when you're attacking.

What would you recommend for paladin for link and legion? Currently I have around 100% crit rate thanks to ability, phantom and hyper stats. Crit damage is about 39% due to kinesis lvl 2 link, ied 75% while boss damage is around 57% (very low :( ). Edit: Currently I am working on ho young to 120 and a lumi to 210 for his lvl 3 link. Im guessing kanna but who else should I focus on down the line.

always great information in your videos it really helps. thank you. one thing that is confusing me as a returning player is some link skills are showing only level 2 - Adele so is max character level required only 120? or does that character have to be level 210 to have it? other ones have level 8 or higher - going up in increments of 2 levels which totally lost me - do i need to make multiples of a class to stack the effect of the skill higher than level 2 or 3? or is that just certain things i was looking for an excel spread sheet to make it easier to read but, was not able to find anything for max character level required, what the max link level is so i don't overspend my time on class if its only level 120 to max out. hopefully this question makes sense. any suggestions are much appreciated

I'm looking at probably getting a Kain to 200 as my next Legion link for bossing but I'm not sure how his link skill works. Can you attack mobs to get the stacks PRIOR to going for a boss so you are already at 4 (if not 5) stacks from the off, or do you lose those stacks if not attacking for an x amount of time?

Go for the exp ones first (mercedes, zero, evan and aran) Make a zero asap since they will only be available for 3 more days. After that focus on the damage links as mentioned in the video. You can ignore most critrate effects from legion and link skills since you're a DS

Got a question, what do you recommend for people playing on old POS hardware like me? I have an old account with a bunch of characters and my laptop is below minimum requirements (yeah i know) and so the flashier classes like Adele slooooow my laptop down hard. I was wondering if you could recommend what classes are good for low end PCs. I've been playing Hero a lot lately since he isn't too flashy and can just sit and attack a lot. Bowmaster and demon avenger come to mind. Maybe increasing the skill transparancy and lowering the background and effect quality in the sttings might help as well! (If you didn't do that already)

Thanks coppersan for the content! Quick question: you mentioned training a Kanna to Lv140 to obtain Link Skill Lv.2 as well as S grade legion buffs. Is there a noticeable increase from Lv.120 to Lv.140 on each character through Legion? I already have Merc, Aran, Evan and Lumi trained to 120 and I don't know if 140 is worth the additional 2-3 hours to bring them all up

120 is for lvl 2 link only. 140 is for legion. it's preferred to train all classes to 140 minimum for decent stats

another thing with getting toons to 140 is their character block in legion grows by 1, meaning you're covering more of the legion board, which is really good for certain stats. for instance, you get your kanna, aran, merc, and evan to 140 instead of 120 is 4 extra blocks in legion, throw those in crit damage and that's an extra 4% crit damage as well

I mentioned them in the IED part, they are great for bossing, and provide some damage as well. I mostly use them for bossing as their effect isn't that useful if you can oneshot monsters when training

Nope! For this class only 1 link skill works at the time. (some link skills can be stacked like explorer, KoC and resistance link skills)

You shouldn't be questioning that pre 15* in gear might not be that noticeable but they are still like +50 stat per gear and 15*+ is where it starts getting op because they start giving on average +10 stat and att then for weapons it's basically the same.
