Another tip my friends told me about CVellum. when he is charging his hyper beam and you aren't sure whether he is on the left or right, stand in the middle of map. The vacuum will pull you towards him so you will notice instantly.

Tip for no split pierre: wait until he's spinning and you have a red hat. Don't bind, and instead just burst while kiting the spin. Pierre has to finish the spin to split which is 30 seconds instead of normal 10 second binds.

if you cant finish in 30 secs and just before he ends his spin can I add on the bind to make sure he's dead? so around 40s damage window

AND bossing guide for those who suffer from low RAM and slight lag Zakum: try NOT to dodge the hand slams at last second as you could still die even though you're clearly not under the hand VonBon: whenever vonbon goes to the other dimension, beware of the "entering a new map" lag, this will cause the hp drain to finish you off before you can do anything what you can do is either, respawn and try to enter again quickly or just wait out the on shot timer so you don't lose another life (wait for the whole animation to be safe) and after vonbon gets low enough, he starts doing the tornado leaps and oh boy is it 10 times more bs for us lagging fellas vonbon will RANDOMLY TELEPORT around the map while in tornado leap animation (at least 3 times), if you get hit by it, you will be knocked back like usual some of your options are: 1 - stay at a corner, wait his teleporting to calm down and attack from a safe range. 2 - get your bind ready for this fella (I like to go in with 2 binds just for him). 3 - cry about it + ratio. Crimson Queen: mostly like zakum, try not to dodge her purple fire breathe at last second recommend staying on her the whole time tbh (especially if you have an up jump or anything that puts you up in the air to dodge her claws) Pierre: 🤡 (he's the same, nothing much, just that dying and respawning to hit both clowns sucks because the game will freeze a little due to respawn not being instant like lucid fight or something) Vellum: normal, I think I am still trying to beat this little shitter but he seems to still be the same Magnus: the pre-quest sucks

Beat Vonbon many many times, never noticed his pattern on the jump was orb orb jump. Very handy, the jump is very annoying on classes that can't attack while jumping like many mages..

I think it's cool that maplestory has actual challenging content. I remember when I used to play the game. Most people viewed maplestory the same way people view idle games today. As someone checking out the game after a literal decade away from it. It's nice to see there is something to look forward to.

CQueen - if you have around 50k hp you would rather tank the fire breath because it removes the burn stacks that are on you which is very nice because they persist the hearts can be detonated by hitting them and subsequently dodged, the reason i mention that is because it does super knockback the zombify should not be a problem because you should be able to remove burn stacks throughout fire phase, and the poison from the swipe in the cryingface never kills you (meaning poison +zombify is non-lethal). also, 'Will' skills (hero's will, not true arachnid reflection), will cleanse the zombify in the case you have both burn and zombify on at the same time cpierre - switches are NOT 30 seconds, there are classes with s on lower cooldowns than 30seconds and they can't use their to dodge every hat - it's somewhere from 12-15 seconds in my experience CVel - the distinction between the one-shotting dig is not whether his full body comes out or just half, but whether the triple fire blast attack is coming out. he also has a very loud audio cue when he does this pattern. should also mention that when he goes back into the ground after doing this pattern that he deals damage similarly to coming up from the ground. this means super knockback Hmag - there is a safe spot in the left corner. getting him back to the middle is a waste of time

a good tip against chaos crimson queen the fire dmg over time thingy can be cleansed when she breathes at you... unless you are a class which cant tank 1 hit of her smelly breath

Man i just realized a few days ago i didn't activated the root abyss quest to kill the chaos bosses 10 times to get the title >:( i just got the chaos vellum medal ,btw i like to take hard Magnus to the left corner near the portal if you stick to the corner the stunning gas's won't reach you but i do this when he'd like 30% health :3

i used to call magnus a dmg test and death sim but when you get a bit more damage it becomes fun making these sick movement plays now days i don't use all my abilities and don't bind him for fun like a dog toying with his prey

I mean yeah it's fun for a couple of seconds, but it's still a damage test in the end, if you can't burst him down at the end you just will die.

I'm a Marksman with 2.5m range on reboot and it took me like 10 minutes (also Marksmans sucks at hmag because their rangefinder mechanic) so, with 1.5 - 2m range or 12-15k main stat, even less, you'll be alright.

An important point to know: of all those bosses, only cvell, cpap and nlomien have above 100% PDR. CVell has 200, cpap and NLomien 300%. So IED is not as important for the other bosses in the video as it's, for example, for NLomien and CPap. So technically you need 93% IED (effective, no visual, since the ones from boost nodes doesn't show in your stat window) and 220+ boss dmg to solo those. And well, good mechanics as well.

My biggest tip for Zakum if you have high latency like me is do NOT attack if he is not currently attacking somewhere else, just focus on dodging the second you see the area. For some reason he is the only boss in the game that has been a problem with my latency with him constantly hitting about halfway into the animation or half a second after even though I am half the map away from the hitbox. Also something I noticed that might explain why your fiance got hit as well for some reason the arms themselves also hit you when you respawn. I have no idea why that's a thing but hey just don't respawn when he attacks. Only respawn when the telegraph shows up away from the respawn spot not before not later.

I have a similar issue with horntail. Ofc nowadays he's kind of a joke anyway so it's not as noticeable, but the map is always very laggy for me and I keep getting hit by crap I shouldn't have because of that.

Being a beginner Mihile, I like CZak's Post-arm phase much more, since he has a lot of mobs i can just royal guard through the explosion(i typically save my royal guard just to parry it), so I will start the fight with a burst on all the arms. I hate Vellum, since almost all the attacks that I can parry will kill me if I miss the guard. And the timing is tough, since the tail/body uses the same yellow circle VFX, but the time it pops out is different. Any tips specific to Mihile?

quick question for the burning world is that world staying because I remember that coopersan said that i think we can transfer the characters we make to another world just checking to see.

The burning world stays up till fabrurary 9th i believe in which it becomes a world to transfer your characters from there to other worlds besides reboot, also the transferred characters need to be atleast lvl 150. The transfer starts from the 9th to up till the 15th of February.

Hero class playing in Elysium. Shame nexon reduced the amount of meso you can earn from boss crystals. I used to make over 400mill solo bossing from normal&chaos Zakum all the way through to normal Mitsuhide. Now I only make a little over 200mill. Free to play really is going away.

HY is pretty easy too, just put down your summons and go at it. Has built-in bind and purple clones are great. Also has a "fly" skill to dodge boss attacks more easily.

It's kanna. 15s Bind, Burst. Haku lets you dodge things that will otherwise kill you.

@@marah4847 Edit: I've realized I've gone off on a tangent to the main argument of this comment thread I've also heard about gauges but then ppl also say you can get used to it by the time you play and level up the character to a bossing stage. I guess it depends on how fluid you tend to be when learning new things. Worst comes to worst, you'll have completed HY for link/legion and can move on to something else. I'd recommend trying him out regardless of whether you'll be using HY as a bossing mule, maybe just hold back on funding him heavily until you have tried out all the 5th job skills :) from the sounds of it, the base kit of HY is pretty OP already

Ignore Enemy Defense. Boss monsters have various amounts of PDR (Percent Damage Reduction) that reduces the damage they're dealt. IED is the stat you raise to deal full damage. People usually get 93-ish% IED for bosses with 300% PDR.
