@@ThatguyPurps They don't need to, but often will ask because the more complete a report is the less difficulty there will be for them if a supervisor questions the officers whereabouts during that time. This may be surprising, but some officers fail to respond to emergency calls and make-up stops as a cover. It's not common, but it has been a problem often enough that the lack of contact info on a report can be seen as a red-flag.

I get that same anxiety about ticking off Karens, like the last thing you need is heat from the police or community. I landed on the lake across from my house over the winter and was worried someone might be upset about me flying over as I landed. It was the complete opposite. My neighbors saw the picture on Facebook, and several reached out to tell me they and their kids loved seeing me buzzing the lake. The local newspaper reached out and wrote an article about it. People are generally fascinated by flight and have a million questions every time. Cool video, dude! I'd love to hear more about your opinions on landing in public places!

My son is a Police officer in the UK and quite often get a bad rap, sometimes deservedly so dependant on the officer. Would you ever think about flying over a school or childcare center or doing a demonstration for kids? I've been curious about that ever since I saw the video where you flew across NJ, because you would've ended up going right over the childcare center I worked at, if you just would've been two or three miles to the East and I thought about how cool that would've been if the kids were out on the playground during it. But I know there's no way you could've done it because you would've been right in the middle of a busy commercial flight path. If you did fly over a preschool playground I think the kids would be talking about it for years!

it seems more just that the cops called off the further help before it arrived, in the US Ambulances and EMS Vehicles are typically parked at various stations unless they already happened to be out for some other reason, meanwhile by the nature of their jobs Police are way more spread out, so cops will head to the scene, both to get it under control (i.e. redirecting traffic around a car crash etc. ) as well as administer emergency first aid from their training until an ambulance can arrive.

Speaking from my personal experience, every cop interaction I’ve ever had has been a good one. Typically just people doing their job, and like with any other human interaction, if you keep it polite and respectful, there will not be an issue. Man couldnt make through the vid, people are so cringe. Doing something new and cool in public always attracts so much attention. You're very humble and well mannered when dealing with people asking questions. I'd admire that a lot. Where it's clear you just want to pack up and go home you still take a min for everyone. They must not realize just home much of your life you end up saying cost, altitude etc. I used fly quad copters when they were new. I couldn't deal with the attention and all the questions everyday. People calling the cops for no good reason. Pretty soon I just stopped flying and going out all together. The new quad copters look pretty freaking fun with the FPV and all that jazz yet Im still hesitant because I wonder if people will still react like they did 10 years ago.
