The driver assures the females they cannot do that and they respond with yelling and profanity. Police are called. The elderly man squeezes in with them waving him in. Cops arrive. Elderly man drives away fast. The driver pulls into the parking spot, speaks to the police, and points out the females. The impolite teenager curses, yells, wishes death upon the driver and his family. 62nd Precinct sergeant puts them in their place.

This cop is such a nice change from all the abusive ones we've seen this last year. He was respectful even when he was disrespected. He gave the daughter a break even when he saw her spit on the OP as he could have written her a citation. This is one of the reasons NYC cops grow such think skins, and believe me I've been abused by the bad ones too. If you're the cop in this video, you get a big thumbs up for doing a very good job. You didn't escalate an already tense situation, you made the violation clear but didn't press to issue any citations, I think most of us would agree that a citation was not needed although I could make an argument for issuing one to the nasty daughter for spitting on the OP. It might save her life some day.

As a photographer myself, I've dealt with this a few times...at weddings...on the street...even at a port in Greece, shooting pictures of some superyachts. Let me educate you ignorent Americans. In Mexican culture it's normal to save spots for other people. It can be parking spots or spots in line. All Mexicans respect the spot saving. If a Mexican drove up and saw they where saving the spot they wouldn't have called the cops or asked them to move for that would of been disrespectful. Which is why these women reacted like this it was a complete disrespect to call the cops. This is why the girl said, "you can't do that".
