The officers behavior had more to do with interrogation techniques than any real respect for any suspect that he may encounter. Not saying that everyone can’t be respectful, but there is not a suspect in America that has any business talking to the police without their lawyer present.
@dysfnctional1978 Жыл бұрын
@@shannonmcstormy5021 Whether you would like to believe it, or not, there are many police officers that do actually care about civilians. They do treat people with respect. @shannonmcstormy5021 Жыл бұрын
@@dysfnctional1978 Cops actually saved my life once and as a member of the LGBTQI community, I have many friends that have been and some who still are, cops. I'm a big supporter of cops, and believe that their pay and budgets should be multiplied by 4. There are profound issues in this profession around systemic racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. throughout the leadership and rank and file that desperately need addressing. Still, officially, I'm a supporter. Cops can be seen offering help, assistance and so on towards the communities in which they serve, especially the law-abiding members of said community. That said, after someone commits a crime, when the cops are trying to friendly and "just trying to understand what happened," no criminal should say anything other than "lawyer please." Cops can't make official deals with criminals, only the DA's office and your lawyer have the capacity to do this. Talking to the police will never help you, that's not the principle reason they are talking to you after you are arrested. If the cops were really interested in being helpful to the suspect, they would vehemently tell the suspect to keep silent and wait for their lawyer. You'll notice that the cops aren't actually doing that in the video......despite how much the cop's claim that they supposedly "respect" the suspect...... .

Since I was falsely arrested (charges dropped 1½ - 2 years later), and the cop lied under oath in court documents (and refused to do his job either through laziness or being malicious), AND I've seen police so more harm than good (including setting people up - A LOT, and shooting innocent people in their own homes), I strongly disagree. Here, we have a show that was designed to make cops look good. I'm sure they were told to be nice, respectful, fair and compassionate - what they SHOULD do everyday - to fool citizens who don't know any better. Over 190 people on death row were PROVEN innocent (sometimes AFTER death), and many were either set up by cops, had lazy cops not do their job, etc. There are many, many, many more who received life sentences or less. I am a 49 year old disabled person with end stage renal failure (I was healing - I was not on dialysis then). A new neighbour came to MY home uninvited and under the influence. She brutally attacked me: punching me, throwing me by my hair repeatedly (I had a HUGE patch of hair ripped out), away from the exit, then started pummeling me. It wasn't until she started kicking near my kidneys that I took out my small pocket knife for protection. Her leg was cut, and her arms were when I was covering my head, and she was pummeling me again (I was still holding the knife). The SECOND I could escape I did. But as I was calling police, she started banging and kicking in my door (recorded on the 911 call), plus her blood's on the door from hammering on it. She broke it in (seriously damaged the door) and started attacking me again. She was in my bedroom screaming when cops showed up! ALL the evidence backed me, but he didn't investigate until AFTER I was arrested. The cop (Ian Clarke, Port Elgin, Ontario) didn't even ask me, the 911 caller, what happened!!!!! I don't know what BS he blindly believed from her. He lied under oath in court documents saying she was sober, and that he advised me of my rights. My pictures show I was beat (hair pulled out, bruises EVERYWHERE). SHE WAS NEVER EVEN ARRESTED!!!!!!!!!! For two assaults, break & enter, and vandalism. Instead I was arrested for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT - a possible 14 year sentence! For defending MY LIFE, literally, in my own home!!! I refused ALL deals (all no jail deals, 2 involved no criminal records) because I knew they had no case. I wanted to go to court. The witnesses backed me (what they heard behind doors; the two people in her apartment downstairs, who saw her, were apparently never questioned), the 911 call backed me - you can hear her screaming, "You f#%$ing c#$t!" And me saying, "Get her out of here," repeatedly. Had he actually done his job, I wouldn't have lost my home (I was forced out by police & courts) and forced to live with sureties. And the kidneys I was trying to protect were destroyed due to the stress of all this. BTW, I had NEVER had any issues with the law prior to this. No criminal record, no arrest redord. Police's arrest rights need to be limited. When judges are SUPPOSED to look at all the evidence early on, they don't.

This cop kills me…”just so you know your boy sold you out” you want people to tell you things and you just told everyone not to talk to cops or give up your friends because the second you do, you’ll drop the dime on them for snitching on their friends (not that he’s a friend at all as I’m sure he would have been using also).

That guy was meant to be a cop. That’s the true definition of a “peace officer” showing no judgement or bias nature towards the man he is arresting but showing love and care for the situation. That is what a peace office should be, but unfortunately that can’t be trained.

Man I think cops would have such a different rap if all cops were like the cop who dealt with the stolen liquor. What a stand up way to enforce the law.

@Ethan.s.. Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, her violent hatchet wielding behavior plus yelling at the guy is all domestic violence. She seems to have started it and was the main instigator. They should have arrested her, or if they want to orphan the children, him too. That guy is screwed now and she will hold all the power over him from here on out. I hope he took that case to trial.

Rightt!?? How do they even have kids in that house!! Can you imagine how scary it would be to see your sweaty wild eyed mom chopping away at the house with a hatchet in her hands!!?? With the eyes of a child, that’s like being in a horror film. So violent and scary!! That not self defense, at allllll. Plus the kids will feel it’s there fault for snitching on Dad! They both need to go to jail!!! That made me so angry, Da Faq!!
