I always remember watching the show COPS and seeing how it ends when people don't cooperate. Do yourself the favor, comply, fight it in court. Could they have done better? 100%. Had I been there...well, my untrained self would have been staying in the vehicle 😂. I went through my first academy in 1987. We were more about hands on then. I notice police today rely very heavily on less lethal, then go directly to lethal. These guys need the experience correction officers have, to fight and subdue without going to lethal. Just my opinion after 30 yrs of law enforcement. I'd feel bad capping this unarmed guy for charging me when I had so much backup there.

Cops are wrong on this if there was no warrant. It almost seems like he called the cops on a tresspasser and gets shot on his own property. Since I have never engaged in any sort of service or drastic situation like this, I cannot comment on even my thoughts about how the situation was handled, cause I don’t know shit. But I will say, that hearing your discussion about what could’ve been done differently in the heat of the moment was fascinating. I wouldn’t have ever guessed half of those things that they needed to be aware of like their surroundings as well as where they stood Alongside each other. And especially not engaging verbally with the dude is something that I would’ve never thought to do. Because for some stupid reason, I always think that I can reason with everybody and have conversation.
