Cops Stop Friends Taking Unconcious Girl to Hospital After Car Crashes Pole

6.1.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn - A car crashed into a pole injuring multiple occupants, one of which was unconscious. It happened at Pitkin & Saratoga around 6:30 am on Saturday. After the driver was transported to the hospital in serious condition, a second victim was unconscious. Friends of the victim tried transporting her to the hospital themselves. A heated exchange happens with the friends and police, who did not allow this saying "she is unconscious and cannot make a decision, she needs ambulance transport" The ambulance arrives and she is treated and transported.

You never move an unconcious victim unless you absolutely have to in order to save their life. You don't know if the person has a cervical or spinal injury. The victim may need a backboard and you could do more damage than helping them.

First thing the woman was NOT unconscious because she was TALKING, she WALKED from the car crash to the transport car and over to the ambulance so I'm not sure why the word unconscious was thrown around. She was seemingly CONFUSED and maybe having a head energy from the crash or complaining of symptoms of such as not recalling and pain. I'm sure she was worried about ten price of ambulance transport but if they had car insurance that would be the company that ended up paying for the medical.
