Steps to copy the content of the DVD with "South European" maps to the SD card in the auto.
Makes the route calculations much faster and the access to the maps quicker.
These steps are for MMI 3G Low with the 6.5 inch low resolution display. Not for the MMI 3G high or plus.

I press the "Start copy" at 1:53 on the video. Then choose SD1, and it starts automatically when I press "update / actualizar" at 2:13.

@@arpcpro yeah, i have the problem that it shows insert media when cd is already in.. i tried to copy everything from cd to sd card in PC but i dont know how to run navigation from sd

The Navi is quicker when reading from the SD card. Shorter boot times and faster route calculations. The second advantage is that it saves the DVD drive laser a lot of wear and tear. Because similar to any game console, it is just a matter of time until the DVD drive cannot read from the disk. Buying a replacement SD card it is much cheaper and easy than to replace the car DVD unit.

@@andreandrade5101 Nunca fiz de ISOs da net, mas quase de certeza que nao é só isso. Os novos mapas nao devem correr com a versão de gps de 2010 que o carro tem, portanto deve ser preciso atualizar primeiro o firmware. Depois deve precisar de uma patch de ativação no cartao SD, e finalmente carregar na combinação de botoes para fazer um mmi reset.

Yes, it works fine. But it might take between 50 minutes and 1h10m depending on the speed of the SD card and the size of the DVD maps. After this process I was able to remove the DVD disc and still use the navigator that automatically fetched the maps from the SD card.

@@pumagermany Tenta com o DVD Cloner. Os DVDs não parecem ter nenhuma protecção especial. Se a cópia do DVD funcionar bem no carro original, então foi bem feita.
