Exocad copy and mirror is lightyears better than cerec aw. Likely just me but in cerec my copy/mirror comes out requiring a ton of adjusting

Dr. Klim thank you for the great video. Can you share with us what are your parameters from the border tab and do you change crown bottom design depending on the material that you are milling (Fledsphatic blocks, Emax, Zirconia) and if you do, how so? Thank you in advance, all the best!
@KlimDDS9 ай бұрын
Good question. Addressing crown bottoms, as I have seen and experienced, is more about the margin style, shoulder, chamfer, feather, and cement spacer than general; for a softer margin style, I go down to a 200-400 um in the border contact zone. Then, the spacer is the same for all ceramics in the range of 100-120 um for resin cement. For zirconia, the spacer is in the 80 um zone for RI cement.

Hi James, I've been seeing your content and I'm really interested! Thank you for making it available to us here on KZbin! I have a question, do you prefer to use Exocad over Sirona's inLab? Here at the college where I do my PhD we still only have Sirona's softwares and I'm curious about Exocad compared to inLab
@KlimDDS9 ай бұрын
Both are excellent software(s). Where i prefer Exocad is for larger cases due to the diagnostic digital wax-up and using this workflow clear through the final restorations, and preferred for printing provisional restorations. I still use the Dentsply Sirona system for same-day restorative delivery, so both have their place based on the demand of your clinical theater. All the best!

Thank you Dr. Klim Since migrating from CEREC workflow, i have been designing with 3shape Dental System, and it took me almost 2 years to become proficient in it. Since i am not very eager to switch for another time, do you believe that i miss too much if i don't switch to Exocad?
@KlimDDS10 ай бұрын
3 Shape is an excellent software that can perform workflows similar to Exocad. All the best.

How long did it take you to get comfortable with exocad?? I feel like the initial hurdle is so large. What camera are you using to record your videos?
@KlimDDS4 ай бұрын
Learning Exocad is a different journey though the wizard feature is similar to the CEREC software. Just keep at it. For my camera systems to record videos, I use the Canon C70, Canon EOS 6 Mark II, and the LUMIX GH7. They each have their benefits base on what one wants to accomplish. All the best!
